Hi Dondons
You can certainly argue that the loans you had prior to having them wiped off were unaffordable as well. If anything, they were the reason your later balances were wiped off because you were trapped in a cycle of borrowing. Visit debtcamel.co.uk and read the information they have on there about payday loans. They also have advice on what to put into a letter about your complaints.
It's good that you already have your statements as you can go in knowing what figure you would settle for based on the amount of interest you had already paid.
If they say no, escalate to the Financial Ombudsmen and they will investigate further.0 -
Boatdweller, if you think any loans were borrowed to you and you could not afford them, then I think you should complain. I think a lot of unaffordable loan complaints will not go ahead because people think the amounts are too small. Just keep going we will get to the end game one day.
Well, I had defaulted on a CC and my overdraft, and had previous set up payment plans for other PDLS - not to mention having to set up repayment plans with vivus, and then them still lending to me again should show they shouldn't have. I have nothing to lose with sending them an email I guess.0 -
Thanks for the replies... I'll be sending the complaint email to Wonga today... waiting on a final response from Quick Quid. :whistle:0

Hi all,
Just to say that I have lodged complaints with Wonga, QQ and several others.
Had healthy pay outs from the above 2 mentioned. PDUK and Unclebuck, Cash Genie haven't replied yet.
I have a decent template if anyone wants to use it?
Hello,
I have reviewed all my bank statements which shows on top of the capital payments that I made to yourself, I made interest payments totalling £xxxxxx to yourselves.
Due to your irresponsible lending I am asking you repay all these interest charges to myself.
I believe from the number of loans and frequency of the loans that I was taking out with you, you should have realised I was having serious financial difficulties, and was not using the loans as a short term but long term borrowing but you failed to see this.
From repaying and borrowing straightaway you should have seen my financial difficulties and that I was using the loans for long term borrowing but you failed to do so.
From my credit file it should have been clear to you I missed payments, had late, very late payments and numerous defaults on other financial accounts but you failed to see this, you failed to correctly assess my financial situation.
You should have also noticed from my credit file that the level of my borrowing compared to my wages was very high, the chances of the loans being affordable to me were little, yet you failed to notice this.
I also had a repayment arrangement with yourselves which is an obvious sign of serious financial hardship, yet you allowed me to borrow again.
You were also offering me higher and higher borrowing limits.
Due to all of these, I believe your lending was irresponsible and caused me further financial hardship which I am still dealing with to this day.
Again, paying back these loans caused late payments and defaults on other accounts.
It affected my health, work, my personal relationships and financial future.
I believe to put things right you should repay the above interest charges (£xxxxxx) and remove and credit footprint from my credit file.
Unless we can come to a mutually acceptable agreement you will leave me with no choice but to go to the Financial Ombudsman Service.
I authorise you to contact me via email regarding the above to resolve this issue as soon as possible.
