Yes! I have been saving, paying, working my bee-hind off! I feel embarrassed when I think about it but I'm making steps in the right direction. Just calculated that I paid over £900 in interest with QuickQuid. Geez!!!

Hi Exited_to_be_free, Lots of people in your position, caught up in the payday loan cycle. A lot of customers are now being compensated for being allowed to take out these unaffordable loans and rolling them over and over again. The FOS are onto it now, so stick with it and see what happens.

Received a letter from Dollar (who own payday express,payday uk etc) to say that I was being recompensed for a few loans which were rolled over in 2014,stating that more care should have been taken on their part to ensure I could afford them.Compensated to the sum of £150-happy days
Keep an eye out for similar letters folks

Hi MARKOS72, yes thats great, they are sending out small compensation so you do not make a claim for the charges and interest at 8%, could you be due more than £150 ?????????????????????

They broke down the figures for a couple of loans which looked about right,but I don't know about further back

OK Markos, the main thing is ,if your happy with this then its fine and you have something back at least, and you were not expecting it so you win.

Yeah very true,though after reading through this thread I think I maay have a case against other lenders-got into the spiral a few years ago now but eventually broke free from it.Any hints tips or advice,esp for writing to some of the companies would be much appreciated.

Hi MARKOS72, Look at DebtCamel website, all the info you need is on there, some nice posts from successful claims, also the FOS website, look at claims that have been settled from last year under FOS decisions. Lots to see and read up on.
