I am into week 8 waiting for conformation from my Adjudicator that a Ombudsman is looking at my complaint ? not sure why it is taking so long.
  • Hi.

My QQ case is with an ombudsman now. It was put through into the ombudsman queue on 6th September. On 26th September I sent a follow up email to my adjudicator and he just said that it is still waiting to be allocated.

Sent another email on 19th October to chase up and was told that it ''is still awaiting a final decision and these can take some time''. So I would estimate around a month to be picked up and two months plus for a decision.

    Just seen this.

Can you elaborate a little on the current situation with this one ?

You should always make your claim to the original lender, even if an account has been sold on, the OL added the charges/interest etc, so any complaints regarding refunds must be made to them (FOS Policy), and they must investigate it for you, they cannot use the fact they have sold the debt, as an excuse not to.

Yeah, I know, the original lender is in liquidation, that's the issue mate.

    Ah, got you now.

Difficult one then, unless they had assets that could be recovered then the chances of any refund will be slim.

My complaint I made about peachy has now got to the stage that that the FOS are looking into, they have requested all information from peachy which they have sent
They have asked me to send credit report and bank statements which I sent into them

My bank statements don't show good reading they clearly show a gambling habit ( :-( ) and the bank account they paid the loan into isn't actually the account my wages are paid into - I'm not sure if these 2 points are going to go against me or not!!!

I'm not sure if this is at Adjudicator stage or it gets passed on again to someone else?

Money Shop complaint upheld :) don't think I'll get any refund though as I still owe them three hundred and fifty quid and no doubt they'll start chasing me for the remainder soon but they can't have what I don't got!

Just sent my first complaint to the ombudsman after My Jar rejected my complaint I made regarding affordability, even having the cheek to say they checked my credit file (which was riddled with outstanding payday loans and defaulted accounts) and were happy to lend :rotfl: But as you say, I didn't have a gambling "problem", just about £20/30 per week and I would be a bit worried that this counted against me too...
  • Good Morning,

Just a quick update from me:

CFO finally paid out around £750 a fortnight ago after being upheld by Ombudsman
Payday Express upheld by adjudicator, they need to respond by 4th November
Payday UK upheld by adjudicator, they need to respond by 3rd November
Wage Day advance disagreed with adjudicator so now awaiting Ombudsman
Lending Stream is currently with the Ombudsman hoping for a response this week.
Quickquid was fully upheld by Ombudsman now awaiting payment. Will be £7881 +8% (should be over 10000 in total) - they offered me 150 with their final response back in June, various offers made to me, the largest being 5700.
Mr Lender I had an outstanding balance which they are writing off and giving me 250 - very quick to deal with directly.

I originally started the complaints process back in June - I think the end is in sight now! The payday express and UK and Lending stream are also for large amounts.
  • From peoples' experience, do PDLs generally accept the decision of the Adjudicator or can I expect further waiting? (This is in relation to a claim against Different Money Ltd).
