Over five weeks Dan, they paid the price for their incompetency though.
  • Does anyone know if minicredit are still active and dealing with complaints? Their website looks as though they are, complaints procedure etc.. However I read somewhere they went into liquidation. I don't have a balance with them now but I paid thousands in interest to them between 2011-2013..

Two successes in one day now!!!!!

Mr Lender have offered me a settlement of 50% of the interest paid which I have accepted based upon the fact I only had one loan with them and TBH I expected the sum total of hee haw from them or the FOS if it went that far.

To me though it does show that complaining to PDL companies even if you only had one loan is still worth the little bit of endeavor it takes.

To be fair to the above lender as well I only complained to them yesterday so a 24 hour turn around was very impressive.

You can claim on just one loan? Interesting!

Read the bottom of the website, it tells you about them ceasing lending activities.

I'm in a similar boat.... OPOS say they will only investigate the one defaulted loan and that they have nothing to do with interest, charges etc. made by the original lender.... It's been something I've been wondering about.

Anyone got any ideas/advice on this one?

Indeed, I thought I'd give it a bash with any lender I only had one loan with anyway (MR. Lender being one of those)....

Got me thinking that maybe their attitude was that, give him something to go away or regardless of the FOS complaint we'll get hit with a £550 bill.

I didn't think I'd have a chance of getting that complaint upheld in a FOS investigation but as I said maybe the thought of giving 50% of the interest saves them money (giving me £125 as opposed to a G'TD payout to the FOS of £550), saves them time (obviously) and they've still made around £125 out of me at the end of the day.

If I had been in their shoes I'd have probably done much the same.

So yes, well worth a try, even if it is just to see if you can get a "gesture of goodwill" out of them.

    Thanks Delete :-) :-)

Am I correct in thinking it took for ever for QQ to send you your money ? :-/

    Hi Dan
Congrats on your offer, superb work.
Can i ask (apologies if covered previously), how many loans and what was the total you had over the period?
Thats a great amount to get back, just wanting to understand how that compares with amount borrowed.

I've had 17 loans and borrowed in total £4008. It's just today gone to FOS.

    Regards

Payday UK and Express are performing credit searches on every one who complains, Sarah from DebtCamel has advised you complain and tell the FOS.

They haven't searched me? But if they did they wouldn't get anything. I've changed my name since my loans with them.

  • Hi, sorry to be a pain but this tread is far to long for me to go back and read it all, but i could really do with some help. i'll explain my situation and any advice would be very much appreciated.

today i got a text message from a company saying reclaim payday loan and a link.

i had loans out with Wonga, payday uk and Quick Quid.

I filled in the online application and they said they are going to get back to me.

In total I borrowed 12,265 from the companies, and eventually ended up default with from wonga, with £200 left to pay. However months i received an email from wonga saying they will remove the default , then a few months later of my wonga history had been removed from credit report. Then about a month later all of my quick quid history was removed from my credit file, how ever i still have all the emails as evidence.

So the company that contacted me, should i go with them , or is there is another way to make a claim,

thanks for reading and any advice is much appreciated.
