  • Hi Delete33, I read previously you requested a refund from PaydayUK. Did you ever get anything back from them? Or did you need to refer it to the FOS?

I emailed them last week for a statement from my account and I had some generic response about how they don't need to give out an account statement etc. I've got my bank statements so I don't necessarily need thier statements.

    Thanks
    Nicole

Hi nicbro, My PDUK complaint is awaiting an ombudsman after my adjudicator found in my favour. PDUK have ignored the FOS , I started this complaint in Jan 2016, so be prepared for a long wait.

Sooooo.....nothing to report :rotfl: Wonga insisted my adjudicator referred to the ombudsman, so far I have heard nothing. Ah well, all good things come to those who wait I guess :D
  • Can someone confirm the email address that Wonga complaints were sent to please?

I requested my statement from them via email, then called to chase up and then used the same email address they sent my statements from to complain (customercare@wonga.com)

I haven't had any acknowledgement from them yet and I complained on the 26th of September...

Hmm, I sent the complaint to the 'Complaints' email address and still had nothing back, not even an acknowledgement... Any suggestions please?

    Hi all

Ive had cheque come through the post today for just shy of £3000 from a PPI claim with Barclays. This will clear all my PDL's and most of my remaining debt :j

Basically my question is, i have 5 complaints in with PDL companys at the minute at various stages but now i have the money to pay them off. Shall i wait until the complaints have been resolved or pay them off and sort it out with them in the meantime?
DEBT FREE AS OF 28/6/17 :j:beer:
  • I sent my letter in to Pay Day Express 3 weeks ago and not received an acknowledgement of my complaint, so I have just sent a further email to say that as they have not responded if my claim should have to go to the FOS I will be taking the date of my first email to them. See if they respond to this

I have put 10 claims in so far (if I say it quick it doesn't seem too bad) - basically saying that due to my repeated borrowing paying off and applying again same day or soon after and taking the extensions that were allowed this should have raised some kind of warning that I was becoming dependent on these and not using them on a short term basis. I have actually paid them all off, but this was due to defaulting on a couple of them and going to a dca and paying it them.

I started 3 weeks ago and so far
Lending Stream - refused claim but send there were some fault with their administration procedures and offered £320.00

Mr Lender - refused claim but said they should have done more to help and offered 845.00

    Just waiting now.

Since January 😳😳 wow lol I know it would take a long time, but that's a joke.

Well I'm looking at sending mine off soon so wish me luck 😂😂 im not gonna hold my breath with them though :(
  • Hi everyone.

For anyone who is at or going to the ombudsman stage at the FOS, I asked an adjudicator the status of my QQ complaint. See his response below:

    "Dear X

Yes that case is in the decision queue awaiting allocation to an ombudsman since 28 September 2016.

I think payday loan decisions are taking around 3 months to complete so hopefully this will take place within the next month.

I’m sorry for the delay you’re experiencing and we’ll update you with any progress as soon as we can.

    Yours sincerely

    X"

So just a bit of clarity for anyone (including myself) on current time frames. I guess some may be quicker than others but hey ho.

Got an email today, that the 8 week response requirement has not been met. They apologised, and said they are still reviewing the case.
However I can refer it to the Ombudsman, if I want.

In your experiences should I just give them more time, to investigate before going to the ombudsman?
