Put your complaint in to the FOS, this is just a delaying tactic.

So allegedly it's going to take 4 weeks for Payday Express to pay me!! If I owed them money they would be quick enough to demand it

    *checks post history*

*Finds evidence that poster has been in battle with Payday Express, Money Shop, Sunny (compensation for distress asked for here!), WDA, Speedy Cash, MyJar, PDUK, MiniCredit, Leanding Stream*

I tell you what but quite why you are complaining about a 4 week delay when you've had a favorable result with a good portion of the above lenders is quite beyond me :)

It could be because my PIP runs out on November 10 and thanks to the incompetence of Capita/DWP I'm going to be without that money for god knows how long until they decide whether to renew my award or not. If it weren't for the fact Capita couldn't be bothered to send someone to my first assessment I would have had a decision and therefore not been in this situation:mad: I have an important hospital appointment two counties away on the 18th and currently cannot afford the £50 taxi fare so it's kind of desperation. (And yes, a taxi is necessary)
    :) (sarcastic smiley face)

  • Good morning all,
Just another update. QQ called yesterday and processed my refund (in 16 transactions!) Received just over £8500, although I think they have missed a bit off (I have emailed about this)
Very pleased with the result. Now waiting on Payday UK, Payday Express, Lending Stream.
Ombudsman has provisionally partially upheld my wage day advance complaint so waiting for that too.

Paydayuk have requested documentation to prove i was in financial difficulty at the time of the loan i had with them, do i need to do this or are they just being difficult?

Before i pay them off shall i wait for these complaints to be resolved? Or can i resolve this with them afterwards?

Just want gone of all these debts, now i have a lump sum to do this!

Hi Leighavfc, you supply the FOS and your Adjudicator with information they require to prove to the PDL you could not afford the loans. They sound like they are trying to do the job of the FOS.

  • Hello, everyone.
I recently heard about PDLs paying out and decided to try and get something back.

I've had loans with 4 companies: Wonga, QuickQuid, Wageday Advance and one of various Toothfairy finance companies(can't remember the name of it). Quite few with each. I'd say 5-6. Constantly topping up, taking another one straight after paying out the first one. So yeah, the usual stuff.
They were all taken between 2011-2013.

Yesterday I emailed 3 of them with request to send me a SOA. I received automatic response from all 3 that they have received my email and will get in touch with me.

This morning I received an answer from QQ, saying that my account is now with MacKenzie Hall, so I should be getting in touch with them. So I'm not sure how to go from here.
One issue is that I have changed my bank account to get rid of them and am waiting for previous bank to send me the statements, this might take few weeks. I don't know how many loans I had with them.
Also, I don't know how to word my request for SOA so they wouldn't be able to fob me off again. Can anyone help me with this please?

I'm not worried about Wonga or WDA because my income at the time of taking out loans with them was pretty much nonexistent, so proving the fact that I couldn't afford them should be easy. Wonga wrote off my last loan with them.

The last one - the TF company. As I understand they don't exist anymore. They used to email me with interest 10 times bigger than the original loan amount and threatened me with all sorts of things. Court, bailiffs and other scary stuff.
Is it possible to do anything about them or should I leave it?

I'm hoping someone can help me with these questions.
    Thank you.
