I got an offer from Satsuma, which I accepted over 2 months ago. Apparently they sent a check 1 month ago, and sent a second one (after I'd complained again) last week. I am still without a cheque.
I am going to raise a new complaint, and request additional compensation. If they don't give it to me I'll be sending it to the FOS. I'm in the same boat as you Lantanna, my hatred of these businesses means I don't care if I get any money. I just want to see them suffer.
So far I have raised 3 complaints against Satsuma (Provident) all 3 have been rejected by the lender, all 3 have been upheld by the FOS. This means they have incurred £1,650 in FOS fees for absolutely no reason. How bad is this business?0 -
You have to wonder as to there state of mind. I've sent them my initial complaint today as well - lots of good news for Satsuma today lol. :cool:0

Mine will have to go tomorrow now as they sent my final response in the post rather than by email. But still plenty of 'good news' for them haha!0

These Predators must be reported to the FCA I urge people to complain on line, does not take long. No money from QQ they said they would pay me last Tuesday.0

Oh dear, sent an email off to a log book lender yesterday. Got an irate phone call from them just there got told I had no chance of getting anything back and they would never be dealing with me ever again. Funny that I take that stance too. He slammed the phone down on me after I told him I wasn't saying anything and would only deal with them in writing.
Just blocked the number, he was seriously aggressive but I guess I clearly have rattled him / them. Off to the FOS we go when the email comes back!0 -
Remove me from their company!!!!! lol, I'm not in their company and have no decide to be in it ever again!!!0

Hi first post but looking for advice. days of Pay day loans now long gone thankfully but have had a letter from Wonga from a long time ago offering a refund but to do so they want my Bank Account details!
Simple questions:
1. Is this genuine?
2. Has anybody else received the letter and done this and have they got paid? I tried going back to them for a cheque but they said it had to be paid direct in to a bank account.
Thanks0 -

There is no harm, there's an obvious reluctance to share bank details, but there's nothing anyone can do with them except pay you money.

Just got off the phone with Satsuma for the Billionth time. Neither of the people with any knowledge of my complaint are in, so its been passed to someone new. She appears to be the first person in their business with an idea of how to talk to customers.
She's lodged a separate complaint in relation to how poorly they have performed during this complaint. I have made her fully aware that I will be pursuing this one with the FOS if I do not get a suitable outcome and that so far my complaints had cost the business £1650 in FOS fees already. I have told her that the time and effort I have gone to is worth another £100, so it doesn't make much sense in sending it to the FOS and costing them another £550 in FOS charges.
I also informed her that Provident are operating in the dark ages if they think sending people a cheque is the best way to issue compensation claims.
She said she would send me an email update within 24 hours (something I have requested 6 times before with no email forthcoming). It just goes to show that all you need to set up one of these lenders is a few grand and a lack of morals - no brains or business acumen required.
I'd love to hear from the morons who were defending the PDLs earlier in this string. The anger I have towards them at the minute is ferocious. I'll do well not to bite someone head off at work this afternoon.0
