Hey guys.
I have just had an email back from Next Credit. I had one loan from them in September 2013 for £300.00. Repaid in full for £465.00 in February 2014.
They have offered to refund the £165.00 difference plus 8% in addition to removing the loan from my credit file. No questions asked. I first sent the complaint email to them on 10th July so about 7 weeks all in all. I sent them an email about halfway through for an update and they said they were still looking into it so I left them to it and had the offer today. The main reason they gave for upholding the complaint is this:
"However, due to the age of your account, your credit file has not been retained. I've also been unable to locate the information related to your expenditure from that time. For these reasons, as a gesture of goodwill, we are prepared to uphold your complaint."
Total refund of £199.08.
So it just goes to show that even if you only had one loan from some lenders it is possible to get a refund! :beer:0 -
Hi Adamssss,
That's interesting! I have just sent off two more complaints for AvantCredit and for PoundstoPocket (Who I just realised are part of QQ who have just agreed a refund with me)
Only had one loan with each but for £1100 and £2200!
Both are worth a shot...... the interest rates were ridiculous from memory!0 -
I have been reading but with nothing to report I have not posted. Can't believe how well things have been going for people.
There was a bit of a mix up with my paperwork as my attachments would not open. Not sure if this will work in my favour as whilst I was recovering the documents I found an old email to them asking for some extra time to pay and also recovered one where they say they have put a default against me and then proceeded to give me another loan. Am hoping this is more evidence to use against themDon’t put it down - put it away!

So QQ made an offer to my adjudicator of around £1,100. I calculated that I was owed around £1,600 based on the loans he said were unaffordable.
I said I would be willing to accept £1,500 to avoid it going to an ombudsman so he has put that back to them and asked to respond by Monday otherwise it will go to the ombudsman anyway. And adjudicator said he cannot see any reason why the ombudsman would disagree with him. So £1,500 for a quick settlement next week or £1,600 plus 8% if they disagree. Not too fussed either way.0 -

Hi all,
I received my first email from the ombudsman today where they said they would be in touch within 2 weeks to let me know how they could help me, would this 2 weeks be with a final response or does a final response usually take much longer?0 -
That is just a notification email to let you know they have received the complaint and that an adjudicator will be assigned in due course - They will then get in touch and ask for bank statements, credit report etc. so they can investigate it fully.0

Well..... I can't actually believe that i'm writing this.
I e-mailed the address for QQ supplied by Gingerice a few pages back on this thread to chase my refund and the following happened:-
1) A pretty abrupt e-mail from QQ informing me they have 28 days to process the refund (yesterday)
2) An e-mail from their 'resolution' team informing me the refund had been processed today - 30 minutes later and the funds are in my account!
I will never deal with a payday lender ever again, this is my first refund of hopefully 4 or 5 and this is the smallest claim.
Thank you for all the advice given on this forum, you are helping A LOT of people!0
