  • Nice one.

I managed to get a refund from them and I only had 2 loans from them. Numerous rollovers though which is probably why they agreed to refund a large chunk of the interest and charges.

Like you they were quite quick in dealing with my complaint.

    Stuat30,

Put it all in writing, include evidence, ask for it to go before an ombudsman.

As soon as she returns from annual leave (twice in two weeks) she will find a rather strongly worded email asking her did she even bother bloody looking at credit report as her facts are seriously wrong...was a little annoyed at the time.

Im guessing she will reply when it suits her...will have to ask to go before an ombudsman. :(

  • Well, unsurprisingly QQ didn't agree to settle before the Ombudsman stage so this has now been passed over today by my adjudicator:

    "Hi Mr X

The business have not agreed to an offer of £1500.

I will now move the case to Ombudsman stage if you wish. This can take a couple of weeks for a decision to be issued.

    Kind regards

    X"

I'm quite glad they didn't actually as the claim is worth over £1,600 before the 8% interest that will be added by the Ombudsman. Also, adjudicator said that he sees no reason why an Ombudsman would differ from his findings.

I wonder how likely it is that it'll be resolved in a couple of weeks... here's hoping!

    Here's an update from me.

After giving up for waiting for Wonga to do my SOA I have added it up myself (£700 in charges/interest) I've complained and set the 8 week timer.

MyJar - did the formal complaint a few days ago, (£600) - no response from them yet.

    P2P/QQ £700/420 - 8 weeks up 14th October

    Sunny (£310) - 8 weeks up 14th October

Pixie - gone to adjudicator a few days ago. Waiting to hear back.

So no offers or anything but at least the clock is ticking!
  • Hi Folks

I have had an offer from Wonga. Had anyone had any joy replying to there final response and getting the offer upped slightly or are they completely fixed on their final offers. I have emailed asking for only 1 more loan to be taken into consideration as it affects my credit report more than anything ?

    Cheers All :-)

    Hi,

I received an offer from them when they knew my claim had gone to the FOS. I declined that, then when my adjudicator upheld my complaint, they offered me £200 more, which I also declined. It's now with the ombudsman. They offered me an amount for 4 loans, however my adjudicator has upheld 54 loans in total. If your not happy with the offer, then maybe push it further. Good luck!
  • Has anybody had any luck with Mini Credit? I know they are in liquidation but my final loan with them went to Opos Limited who are a debt collection agency. I settled the account in September 2015, albeit partially, and my credit report reflected that. However, I have just logged into to check my report again and the updated one now says there is a balance outstanding of £80.70 and it has been recorded as a default on my file!

I don't know what on earth they are playing at but this will be going to the FOS if Opos haven't replied to me by the end of the week.
  • I've been reading this thread intently for the past few days, and have decided to start my own battle.

As a bit of background, I'm currently in a DMP via StepChange to pay off circa. 10k of debt. Around 60% of this is with the following lenders accumulated during 2015:

    Onstride - £2102.98 outstanding
    MyJar - £950.44 outstanding
    Satsuma - £831.96 outstanding
    WageDayAdvance - £475.60 outstanding
    Wonga - £473.56 outstanding
    Different Money - £457.22 outstanding
    WizzCash - £326.86 outstanding

I have already begun sending the initial complaint e-mails and await their responses. Satsuma have already got back to me with a standard e-mail to say they have received my complaint.

In addition to my outstanding debt above, I also have historic loans with QuickQuid and PiggyJar (possibly others) who I will also be pursuing.

QuidQuid, in particular, issued me 7 loans/top-ups during 2015 within a very short period of time (all paid on time/settled). I therefore feel that I have a strong case against them for a refund of the interest paid. They were extremely gung-ho with their lending and it was incredibly easy to get roll-overs/top-ups.

My goal is to write-off as much of the outstanding debt as possible and reclaim as much interest/charges as possible.

Now I play the waiting game and will provide updates as soon as the responses come in.
    DMP:

    Starting Total: £10,254.47 _pale_
    /
    Remaining: £3,386.94

    Hi,

The historic loans you may have some luck with, however it may not be so easy with the outstanding loans.

It depends on the information you provided when you took out the loans, if you gave income/expenditure figures, that shows you could afford the repayments, you won't get any write offs.

On the other hand, if it shows you could not afford these loans, then anything is possible.
