Keep at it! I received an offer from Safety net to wipe my balance £1100 and I turned it down. They came back a few days later with an offer of £3318.01. Offered and accepted yesterday - money was in my bank account last night. I repaid them £4011.41 with the outstanding balance I was happy with the offer. The tone of the letter was also very sincere and professional and this probably helped in how I dealt with them. They did not admit liability to anything just offered the refund. Also wiped from credit file.

Text loan have come back after a week offering a refund of £128 - I have gone back telling them I was hoping for something around the £300 mark - will see if they come back with an upped offer. If not I will accept their offer. I repaid them about £300 in interest. Offer to wipe any negative markers off credit file.

Uncle Buck - Have come back to say they are working on it and wanted a print out of my credit file at the time - said no and sent them a screen shot. Waiting to hear back. Repaid them £200 in interest. Hoping to get something

THL Direct - Told me I would get a response next week. I have an outstanding debt with them of £400 and repaid £692.00 in interest. Looking for a refund on this one and interest wiped. This one will go to FCA if they refuse as they are totally unprofessional and unscrupulous and actively tried to upsell their loans to me and encourage me to take out more.

Piggybank - No response at all! But I keep emailing them to ask them when they are going to acknowledge my complaint! I love to annoy them. This will be escalated as well - just due to the face they are ignoring me.

Payday Express - Acknowledgement and waiting for a response. This is a big one so will be escalated as well if I don't feel any refund offered is fair. I'm looking for £900 minimum.

Quickquid - Have sent me their usual email requesting info - I'll reply to them when I'm in the right sort of mood for them lol Small amount here to get refunded coz my loans with them ended in 2010 / 2011

    EPDL - Currently ignoring me

Swift Sterling - Have complained to them anyway and they have acknowledged - I no they were in Malta but I'm trying anyway . Repaid them £2963 in interest.

Have also emailed Cash Convertors & H&T Finance about my loans with them and they have acknowledged and will hopefully get a response next week.

Have Wonga to tackle as well but again most of it is outside the 6 years.

24/7 moneybox will be going all the way. Cretins, they've offered to wipe my outstanding balance - £400, looking at at least £1000 back from them on top of the balance being wiped.

Hope this helps you. Just think if I had accepted safety nets offer to wipe my balance yest I wouldn't have went home to over £3k in my bank account last night!

    Update from me.

Wonga wrote to me to say they would basically send me my SOA in their own time and there was no timescale for this from their side.

Swift Sterling - I have emailed northway financial who I believe hold the records now since the buyout, 7 days and they've not even acknowledged it. I was asking for my SOA. Anyone have any luck here?

QQ/P2P/sunny/pixie The 8 week countdown has commenced.

MyJar (assuming they will include those taken out with text loan but I will check against my bank statement) said they will send my my SOA within 3 days.

Hi, I waited to long for my SOA off Wonga so eventually I logged in to my online banking and looked through all of my statements dating back to 2012 and basically did my own SOA. I collated all of the information off that and sent it off to my adjudicator when Wonga asked for an extra 6 weeks after already having to wait the original 8 weeks. They delay the process when making you wait for your SOA.

That's a good plan actually. Does it always say Wonga on your bank statement when it's a transfer in from them? I had so many loans going in and out at the time that it can be difficult to tell.

    Hi,

    They wont acknowledge you.

Northway financial originally were based in Malta, so they were exempt from FOS/FCA regulation.

Even though the new name is still Northway financial, they are not responsible for the previous companies debts, or dealings.

If you contact the new company, all they do is give you an email address for the old company, which, annoyingly, remains unanswered, after 6 months, so a bit of a dead end.

Mine either came up as Wonga or WDFC UK which is what they changed to after Wonga. It does take a while but it'll be quicker than waiting for an SOA.

Thank you - I'm sure I heard somewhere that someone had successfully complained via the Maltese financial regulators; I might do some further research and plug away at this :0)

I would also think this would send alarm bells ringing, hopefully you get a great outcome!
Have you started the process against Wonga also?
I'm currently claiming against them, my adjudicator upheld 54 out of 60 loans, however Wonga have responded disagreeing with her findings so she now has to continue the investigation. It is a very long, drawn out process but hopefully worth it in the end :)

Yes i think i requested Both Wonga loan statements and MyJar same sort of time...Myjar were a lot quicker with final response than Wonga,so they were first to be reported.

Having 79 loans (admitedly small) im hoping to get a few hunderd back and most importantly off my credit file.

All claims for swift sterling are on hold, according to debt camel.

The Maltese financial authorities are creating a new dept to take over from the present organisation.
So looks like been a long drawn out affair.

Thank you. I guess it's a different story if you had paid everything back which I have

I would have paid it back had I not been diagnosed with cancer which has left me with other disabilities which mean I am unable to work... I asked for write off as desperate measures mean it will never be paid back. When I took it out naturally I did not see this coming!!!
