Feeling pretty annoyed with Wonga, They are arguing that the loans were affordable based on loans to wage difference.

    I was earning £1700 a month doing I.T. feeding & clothing a family of 4, with other outgoings, I was probably always 400 - 500 over what i earned a month.

I was spending over £1000 paying back them and borrowing again to pay my bills.

it's now with the ombudsman, anyone know what sort of timescales I'm looking at with the ombudsman, I'm thinking another 4-6 weeks.

    really irritates me.

    Hi Fusion212,

Was this outcome from them after you'd been to them independently or after an adjudicator got involved?

Wonga offered me £200 after I advised them I was going to FOS which I declined, an adjudicator was assigned to me about 2 weeks after contacting them and it's been going on for about 8 weeks in total with the FOS. I had an email yesterday where they upheld my complaint in part, I was the same as you, borrowing to repay others, repaying them and borrowing again over and over.

    Welshie.
  • Received this today - the adjudicator now can't move it to an ombudsman pending this decision with the FOS - don't know what to think! All loans that the adjudicator agreed were unfair are within the 6 year window - how do I get it transferred over to an ombudsman?

Your complaint about Quick Quid includes a loan that fell outside of the six year period from when you complained.

Our rules say we can only consider a complaint if it’s brought to us within six years of the event being complained about taking place. Or within three years from when the complainant ought to have reasonably been aware they had cause to complain. Generally we’ve agreed with businesses that loans taken out more than six years ago fall outside of these time limits.

But, at the moment our service is considering whether we can look into these complaints – specifically when complainants ought to have been reasonably aware they had cause to complain. And until we’ve decided on this matter I won’t be able to progress your complaint any further. I don’t currently have any timescales that I can share with you about this decision, but as soon as I do, I will let you know.

In the meantime, please don’t hesitate to contact me should you’ve any questions.

My adjudicator has contacted me again to say that he has forwarded on my bank details and that I will be due just over £5300 from QQ.
    Happy days.
Here's hoping they pay out promptly :)

My Adjudicator has e-mailed me today and has agreed with QQ offer of £1004 so I will have to accept this, QQ origional offer was for £350 so in that context its a good offer. One down PDUK to go, PDUK have ignored the process from day one, Ombudsman will be ruling on this one.

they offered me £2470 for offer in part on 8 loans refused the rest of the loans, but their loan selection made no sense.
FOS sided with me said all but 2nd loan was offered irresponsibly and they should of seen this when I defaulted with my first loan but they still lent to me repeatedly about 4k interest - 15k total.

just annoying as they are clearly wrong and I have seen them pay out for a lot more to people for a lot less borrowing
