Part of the Furniture 500 Posts Name Dropper Combo Breaker
Sacha just go on the financialombudsmen website and submit your complaint

But will that mean that I'm in breach of contract with MMS? I only appointed them because I didn't have the time or inclination to do it myself (see above posts) and I though, seeing as they will get a cut of whatever may or may not come my way, that they will do as I ask!!

So far, he has failed to answer my email!!

Guys does anyone know a rough time scale from submitting complaint to FOS to them looking at it/acting.

Yes ive just (last week) got too that stage with My Jar...im aware its a long drawn out process, just after some roughly time scale for this part of the claim.
  • Stuart mine took about 4 weeks from when I submitted to getting a reply from the adjudicator
  • Sacha I am not sure in terms of breach of contract, I would just go ahead and take it to the FOS

    Hi Stuart.

I submitted my complaint with QQ online on 8th July. I had an email back on the 11th saying they would be in touch. Then last week I had a letter in the post basically saying the same thing so I gave them a call on Monday (25th). They confirmed that the complaint had been logged and was in the queue to be assigned to an adjudicator. I'm sure she said to allow 8-12 weeks but in most cases it is a quicker turn around than this.

I would suggest giving them a call too if you have had a letter through the post.

So Wonga Annoyingly have decided their original offer of 8 loans at £2470 was fair offer even though I defaulted my first loan with them, they still continued to lend to me 25 more times, as well as tell them I was struggling financially

they want it to go the ombudsman on the basis that salary to loan was low £1000 a month is considered low apparently - ignoring the responsible lending criteria. typically

now have to wait another 4-12 weeks potentially annoying Could really use those funds around now as well but I can't let this drop.

Sorry, just venting......MMS have put me onto their appeals team who have refused to involve the FOS as they, apparently, have 6 months to appeal this :mad::mad::mad:

I have just fired off this email to the appeals team bloke:

Hi X, please don't think I'm being a pain however I have been doing a lot of research on this and your information is correct in relation to PPI claims but not PDL claims. The company in question have 8 weeks to make a decision and, should the decision not be reached, can be referred to the FOS immediately following the 8 weeks. I didn't have to allow them the extra 6 weeks, I could have insisted that the FOS become involved at that point but I didn't. I am now requesting that you involve the FOS immediately, should you refuse to do so then I can assume we can sever our communications and I will contact the FOS myself, today. As the contract states, no win, no fee and seeing as Wonga have made their final decision I believe I can leave the contract with yourselves.

Please communicate your decision so I can phone the FOS. I have all of the information to hand that they will ask for so it won't take long and will save me 30% of whatever may come my way! I am not willing, nor do I have to, wait 6 months for you to appeal.

    Many thanks,

    Too much??
Don't waste your time with these clowns, they are sharks pure and simple you've just proven you have the capability to lodge your complaint and research yourself. get away from these guys.

Hi All, i know this is the PDL reclaim thread but I feel a need to vent, I have sent alot of correspondance off recently to companies I feel have mistreated me and not followed the rules financially,

    I'll start from the top

Sunny, Peachy, both were fair upheld my complaints

Wonga, quick quid, my jar, all refused my complaints
Wonga offered £2470 but adjudicator ruled in my favour - gone to ombudsman.

Quick Quid - adjudicator has decided saying that some loans were un-affordable offered to recall a paid off account from debt collectors. advised the adjudicator that there is little point as it's already been paid. she is now going to question them on this.

Myjar, again adjudicator believes this to be irresponsible lending - awaiting them to accept decision.

Littlewoods\Very - logged my complaint in may spent 3 months chasing them, to get a response of they believe they offered the account responsibly. - Sent to the FOS due to not responding in time

HSBC - Any one that had loans with HSBC from 2010 on wards should of received information regarding an early settlement on their statements. if they did not provide this then you should be allowed to reclaim all fees and interest back from the bank, this was rejected by HSBC - Sent to the Fos

Santander - Challenged them on the default listed against my self - had this removed £250 for issues caused

Barclays - Overdraft of £3500 whilst I was struggling with PDL loans still having to pay this off - acted irresponsibly in placing this on my account with them. spoken to them 20-40 times about ability to pay etc only just turned into a resolve loan. hoping I have placed a fair case on them about this and they want to resolved it amicably.

whilst I appreciate no one forced me into this situation with the finances, a lot of it could of been drastically avoided with thought before offering high amounts credit.

I am feeling deflated about my Wonga complaint due to the fact it's gone to the ombudsman was hoping to have it sorted but i am having to look at it this way that they are in the wrong and Im confident the ombudsman will find it my favour for considerably more than they offered in redress.

money could help me out massively right about now though.
  • Well,

Today marks the end of the 6 weeks extra that Wonga requested to deal with my complaint (I have emailed them weekly to remind them I exist) but still no final response from them. I fully expect an e-mail tonight stating they need another 6 weeks.

I have a complaint with the FOS for the quickquid loans, I have been waiting for 7 weeks and still no contact from the FOS to assign me to an adjudicator.

A complaint was also raised with the FOS 6 weeks ago for the Wonga loans, currently in the same situation as the Quickquod complaint, waiting to hear from the FOS.
