RESULT!!!!!!!!!!!!! Uncle Buck ( 2 Loans ) have offered me £400 as a goodwill gesture, they say they have not breached any rules but understand my complaint. I have accepted their offer as I paid approx £600 in interest on the 2 Loans. Very speedy resolution.

Well done Delete33! I'm really hoping someone will get back to me soon.

Lending stream have replied saying they will get back to me in 2 days with their response. Only had two loans with them but any amount of money back would be better than nothing!

The one I'm really holding out for is Wonga. I had so many loans with them.

Altogether, if I get back £1000 across the companies I'm happy. But I think it would be fair if I get back £2000 when I add up all the charges.
  • Wonga are saying they can't confirm my identity, which is strange as I phone them last week and they could.

Hi justinsrival, after reading stories on DebtCamel It seems Wonga are the easiest Payday lender to gain a successful outcome with. Hope you are successful with your complaint.

QQ and PDUK have a very bad reputation as far as dealing with complaints, they surely must realise it is in their interests to communicate quickly to complaints. If they continue with their delaying tactics people should just go straight to the FOS and complain, the charge of £550 per referral will take its toll eventually and maybe make these 2 companies respond quicker ??

Received my statement of accounts from PDUK after e-mailing them again and stating I would be sending my complaint to the FOS.
  • Like many on here my finances have been all over the place over the last few years, reading the posts has given me the confidence to now tackle the issues. My frustration with all these companies is that the more desperate for support people are the more these companies prey and get rich off them, upfront fees for loans that don't happen, huge aprs as they know you have no choice but to take it and attempted cons all promising an easy solution... Desperate people make silly mistakes and vultures prey on them...

I have recently written to Wonga asking for a refund of £1100 for 25 loans over 2011/12, most were rollovers and stemed originally from the unaffordable apr on the first loan, this then snowballed, initially they emailed me all my accounts/loan details, then after my complaint they responded saying they will respond in the 8 weeks, fingers crossed.

Payday UK, I have original emails from 2009, so I know I used them, so only wrote using a template asking for details of the loans, nothing further, they wrote back saying that they would issue me a final response in 8 weeks, not having asked yet for a refund I found this baffling...

I have a few smaller ones, that were one offs, however they obviously couldn't of done any affordability checks when issueing, now I was just going to ignore them but they are all with a company called MMF, that keep on sendiung letters etc, I have written to MMF asking for the full details of each, which they have now told me they have put my account on hold until they get data for them, as I cant afford to pay these I will be writing to each to hope I cn get these cancelled too.

Un related but have also written to my bank Barclays, the biggest con company of the lot, I had an interest free overdraft upto £2500 (free upto £2k, low apr above this) until they changed the system to daily fees, Trapped in the overdraft as I had become reliant on it over the last 5 years and now I'm paying £3 per day for what used to be free...

Hopefully if I have luck with Wonga etc I can get out of my overdraft...

Thanks for the motivation guys and best of luck.

    Andy

Just stick with it andygoss, you have nothing to lose but everything to gain. As I have said previously Wonga seem to be the best at dealing with these complaints.
