Jst received a weird e-mail, not sure if it is connected with Paydayuk e-mail: it reads: Master bulk going through blue owl. Baffled!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • Just to clarify, are ppl asking for total refunds to date or up to the ate that the affordability checks came in.

If the latter, what date would this be?

As for QQ, I distinctly remember they extended their 'Flexaccount' for months afterwards?

Only refunds of interest and/or charges that may of been applied, not the capital originally borrowed.
This can apply to anytime in the last 6 years.

Received e-mail confirmation from QQ that they are dealing with my complaint and they have 8 weeks to resolve the issue.
  • I've had one from Pounds to Pocket after initially sending through the automated "we performed this credit check with reference XXX...".

Everybody thinking of claiming a refund of the interest and charges on unaffordable payday loans should expect it would take about 3 emails with each loan company before they actually get into the complaints section. They obviously hope to put off some people with a long automated email and a credit check reference number.

I agree justinsrival, another tactic to put you off. Do not give up, remember if the complaint goes to the FSO the payday loan co. must pay £550 this probably explains why they offer £300 to £500 pound to get rid of you.

RESULT!!!!!!!!!!!!! Uncle Buck ( 2 Loans ) have offered me £400 as a goodwill gesture, they say they have not breached any rules but understand my complaint. I have accepted their offer as I paid approx £600 in interest on the 2 Loans. Very speedy resolution.
  • I've got a response from lending stream straight away today informing me that they are willing to write off the remainder of the loans £104 and £113, I've been in a payment plan with them for 2 years through stepchange. I tried to ask for some of the extra charges they added on, only £12 default charge per loan but they weren't having it. Happy to accept this anyway as the original loans were only for £275 and £225. It's annoying though that I could have asked them months ago and they would have written it off, nevertheless it's off my credit file now.

Wageday advance no response yet- emailed them 4 weeks ago. Phoned today & they said I should hear back from their final response team next week, I've got a feeling I might need to take this to FO from reading other threads. I rolled over the loan for almost 3 years on & off, over 3K interest.

Nothing from payday express, or quick quid, emailed them 4 weeks ago.

Peachy came back to me today with an emailing saying they had done all the required checks etc, and they weren't upholding my complaint. Not sure whether it's worth pursuing this one, it's the smallest of the loans, I took out £221 & repaid £550, some of this was dca fees when it was passed to MH.

Has anyone had dealings with minicredit? I had a lot of loans with them too and they point blank refused a payment plan, paid it off in the end but I had months & months of rollovers.

Hi illegally_blonde Just e-mail those who have refused and tell them you are sending your complaint to the FSO this will cost them £550. If they insist in refusing you a payment escalate to FSO. Heard it is easy to complete the forms on line.
    Sorry I mean FOS.
