Nationwide Mortgage
Comments

My partner and I applied for ours with Nationwide yesterday.
95% LTV, looking to borrow 1.9x annual income. LTV bracket has automatically sent it to the underwriters so hopefully, all goes through smoothly!
Looking through the recent comments, I should probably go and keep myself occupied for a few weeks!0 -

I thought I’d post on here because like many of you, I’m waiting on my Nationwide mortgage application to be processed.
Here is my timeline so far:
21/07 AIP Accepted
08/08 Offer Accepted / Property Reserved
11/08 Full Application Submitted
12/08 Hard Credit Search
...I noticed a lot of people have had a property valuation before the hard credit search so should I assume this has already happened despite the fact I’ve received no text about it?
I’ve been told by my Mortgage Broker that Nationwide are fairly busy at the moment and therefore I should hear back by the 29th of August but will likely be before that date, however, I assume this is just the time it’s going to take to actually pick-up and review my application so a mortgage offer if accepted, will likely be weeks down the line but fingers crossed I’m wrong.
I also thought the following timeline from the Nationwide website might be useful which was last updated on the 19th of August.

We had a text/email update when the valuation had been booked and then when the report had been received and accepted.
Could it be possible that they have done a desktop valuation/AVM? Your broker should be able to advise.
Nationwide time scales really seem like pot luck. Some applications seem to sail through and others stall - I guess it depends on the complexity of the case and whether it requires full underwriting.

We've just applied with nationwide.
23/8 application submitted
23/8 valuation initially booked for the same day and then changed to 1/9 after having to send a few documents that they'd asked for straight away.
Not sure if the application has already been assessed this quickly? The wait is tense! Does the valuation usually take place after underwriting? LTV is 88%. I've been a member with nationwide for 20 years...0
