AC55 said:Hi everyone,
Been lurking on this thread while our application is ongoing. We applied directly with NW
18/05 DIP
07/06 Meeting with MA
07/06 Mortgage Application began
11/06 Hard credit checks
13/06 Valuation
How long typically have people waited for the 'we have received your valuation' text? It's been a week today since we had the valuation and have heard nothing despite chasing 😫 feeling so anxious!
- we have received your valuation
- we have accepted your valuation
- we are issuing your mortgage offer
So anyone that hasn't had the "we have received your valuation" text, it may end up coming through all at once like ours did0 -
Can I ask what time everyone who’s had an offer recieved their text to say so? Is it always between 9-10? Thank you!0

Another one here regretting the decision to go with Nationwide...
31/05 - original application made.01/06 - poor timing on our part, but we get a quote for renovations the next day that were significantly higher than we had planned for - we immediately contact our mortgage advisor to ask to change the mortgage amount (mistake number 1!)
16/06 - after much chasing, amended mortgage illustration provided.28/06 - valuation took place.
06/07 - we are chased by our Nationwide mortgage advisor to contact the estate agent and find out if they are able to book in the valuation (!?). Advised them it had taken place over a week prior... Apparently they had no record of it...
11/07 - contacted them to find out what's going on - advised they 'found' the valuation and it was uploaded on the 7th. Would get it assessed within 3-5 working days of upload.
15/07 - struggling to get through on the phone, so email our NW mortgage advisor to ask for an update - we have heard nothing.
18/07 - response from advisor, escalated to their manager as it falls outside service levels, will take one working day.
21/07 - still heard nothing - so we call for an update. House has been downvalued - lady on the phone gave us three possible options. However, she said all of this information had already been passed onto our mortgage advisor the day before, so we should discuss with them. Advisor has not advised.
22/07 - negotiate with vendor, agree a new purchase price. Send an email directly to advisor to tell them we are aware of the situation and our options, and have made a decision re: the new purchase price, amount to borrow - this results in no change to LTV/product.
25/07 - no acknowledgement. Called the helpline to ensure our updates are noted on file. Advised it will take up to 8 further working days to process....
All the while our vendors are keen to exchange at the beginning of August. I just hope the solicitors can get things moving asap once the offer is in....
Oh, and still not had one of these magical texts to say the valuation has been either booked or completed!0 -
Hi Everyone,
I was wondering if anyone can shed some light as our experience seems very similar to others!29/6 - Application submitted
29/6 - Received text same day booking our valuation.
4/7 - Received text saying valuation was complete
11/7 - Had to send additional documents
26/7 (today) - Nationwide have asked for proof of our deposit which we already sent them on the 11th when they asked for it!
Our mortgage advisor resent the document and said it’s likely to be another 8 working days wait, however on the portal all of our other documents, checks etc are ‘satisfied’.Does anyone know if this means everything has been accepted and they’re just waiting on proof of deposit to offer us the mortgage or could it still be a ‘No’ from here?
Thanks so much!0 -
I gave up, went to a different broker (alligatemortgages.com) and got an offer 6.5 working days after submitting my application! (Mortgage is with Skipton) my experience with Nationwide (and my original broker) has been appalling. Good luck to all of you still waiting. XxDebt was £15,903 😬 Now £2718.14 £0 😲🥳0

Hi everyone!
Finally received an email to say a mortgage offer has been issued in the post! 🥳 So please don’t lose hope, you get there eventually!
Good luck to everyone waiting 🤞🏼0 -
After submitting our application on the 12th May with Nationwide, they carried out the valuation which was all fine. Approved for affordability after requesting more payslips! 1st July still not heard anything. Mortgage broker chases to find out nationwide have now queried my husbands payslips and aren’t happy with them. Honestly how was this not flagged at the beginning? They then asked for another payslip for end of July. Instead of hanging on in hope for this to be accepted, we put another application in with Halifax which was submitted on 20th July. Valuation booked for 2nd august, we had offer through the same day!!For those giving up hope with nationwide I would definitely recommend another application if you can!!Can’t believe we finally have an offer after a longgggggg few weeks. Not with nationwide, but we finally got there.
Those still waiting, don’t give up hope!0
