Just found an email in my junk folder from Nationwide (everyone check your junk folders!). My employer messed up my pay last month and deducted £150 erroneously - Nationwide wants to know what this deduction was for and whether it will continue. Errr how to diplomatically write that my organisation's HR don't know their *rse from their elbow and that it was an error on their part...?! I can see that it has been reinstated in this month's payslip, so have sent that on to Nationwide and hopefully that will satisfy them! Has taken them 5 working days to submit the first payslip I submitted, so I am not banking on hearing from them again for another 5 working days now. Fingers crossed!
Does anyone know whether Credit Karma / Clearscore etc update with hard credit checks in between their monthly refreshes? Or do I need to wait until the next full refresh of my credit report to see whether I've had a hard credit check?0 -

Still awaiting an answer on changing our loan amount following our valuation and renegotiating the offer on the property. We had soft checks from Nationwide on Monday but not clear why. Will try and chase up my broker today to get an update. We've been so patient but the process has been dragging on for so long.0

I had my valuation today, so I'm hoping that it won't be too much longer. My partner and I are trying to buy my ex-husband out, so it's a remortgage, I own 65% outright, so the mortgage is for 35% of the value of the house. Here's my timeline:
23/10 DIP given.
05/11 Application put in by our broker, and text received from Nationwide.
06/11 Text received to say valuation booked for 09/11.
09/11 Had to advise surveyor that daughter had been instructed to self-isolate due to having been in contact with a teacher with Covid. Survey postponed.
14/11 Hard searches done on both myself and my partner.
25/11 (Today) Survey done. Surveyor said that due to LTV, it was really just a formality.
Fingers crossed that we'll hear soon! I did notice that my partner and I are now listed as having a financial connection in terms of a joint account or loan on ClearSearch, and as the only joint thing we have so far is the mortgage application, I'm hoping that that's a sign that it's a done deal! Might be wishful thinking though!0 -
