Fingers crossed for you!Anya86 said:Congratulations! 🥳🎉It wasn’t such good news for us- the valuation came back as ‘non suitable security’ due to possible structural issues. We are currently living in the property we hope to purchase. They have said that ‘The property could be reconsidered if a structural report is produced from an appropriately qualified Structural Engineer/Chartered Building Surveyor.’ So have spent the afternoon calling structural engineer’s have been quoted up to £1400 and 3 weeks wait! But managed to find someone to come out on Monday for £525.who can produce the report within a week!
we think the issue is cracks from where we had new windows fitted so praying it’s nothing to worry about and won’t effect the value of the property. Looks like we’ll be waiting longer but on the upside it wasn’t an immediate rejection. Will keep my fingers crossed for those waiting to hear soon! I really hope this doesn’t lead to weeks and weeks of waiting 😩🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
Did you hear back today? I'm still waiting and being told 1 December - I've forgotten what sleep feels like 😂😂

This whole process has taken all the joy out of buying our first home together. We’ve gone from yes we’ll give you the mortgage but the house is down valued to being put back in the queue for reassessment for the lower price. Now they’ve flagged something up which was initially dismissed by a previous underwriter. I honestly feel ill. I think that this will end in a decline after all this time. 9 weeks tomorrow we sent the application.Nationwide Mortgage App 85 LTV

Oh god! I’m sorry it’s absolutely awful! What have they flagged? I’m worried that even after we get a structural report they’re going to raise other issues 😩fingersallcrossed2020 said:This whole process has taken all the joy out of buying our first home together. Can you appeal what they've flagged? I'd have gone crazy after 9 weeks! That's ridiculously long! Have you raised with your broker?

What a nightmare. We're waiting to hear back after amending our loan amount so hope we avoid this kind of nonsense. I have to admit that it's hard seeing FTB in this thread getting offers and through the process in the time it's taken since just our valuation. It seems everything we submit or amend gets put in to the slowest of queues.fingersallcrossed2020 said:This whole process has taken all the joy out of buying our first home together. I must admit its hard seeing some of the timelines that are going really fast. Although, it must be more frustrating for you - has your broker said anything about it?Nationwide 85% LTV Direct Apply - Porting & Adding Partner

Hello guys. Been following this thread for a while but not commented yet.My Nationwide application was passed to the underwriters on the 20th November.I’m self employed.I rang up today for an update and they said that the underwriter will ask me 3 x questions about how Covid has affected my business. Has anyone had any experience of this?
Good luck to everyone that is waiting.0 -
Nothing arrived in the post so we rang them today and apparently it was approved on the 20th and so the letter will be sent out today and we will get it on 5-7 days. Every time we ring them nothing seems to have happened for days and then they do some chasing and come up with a new update. Fingers crossed it comes through soon.tigerlily74 said:Well we were told today our application was approved on the 12th of November, and we should expect the offer on writing by the 24th.We had to apply through a ‘manual process’ as we are redeeming our mortgage, then porting it within 189 days. As a result we have had no texts and no way to track without calling the complex case team.
2nd October AIP
9th October offer accepted
12th October booked application appointment
26th October Application Appointment
28th October Valuation (we assume desktop)
9th November Valuation flagged with assessment team as it has been missed and we chased
12th November Application marked as Approved for Manual OfferIt’s a big relief but I won’t relax til I get the letter and they release the funds really.
