The valuation was today and that email was received at 12:30 but they’ve still not begun the under writing process or hard checks so could be weeks yet 😬NW timescales:
DIP: 13/7
App: 16/7
Valuation: 6/8
NW offer: 20/80 -
Wow that’s a long wait. I’m think we’ll be the same as I haven’t a clue if documents have been looked at. Seem to get the impression they do initial checks when you submit application and then send for senior underwriter at the point that I’m at now. Keep seeing posts where people get valuation text then mortgage offer text straight away - I wish!!carriesmonkies said:
It was still another 3 weeks from valuation being received for us to get our offer - hopefully that isn’t the case for you!lancslass26 said:
Just had an email / text to say valuation has been received and they’ll review and be in touch in the next few days if they need further information. How much longer from this point!!???lancslass26 said:Valuation day today, 3 weeks since applying with NW. Still no hard checks done on credit file but Monday they had asked for further documents so hopefully is now being looked at.NW timescales:

This is exactly what I'm doing just now. Been on hold for 20 mins waiting for an adviser, my MB hasn't been that responsive, so I'm calling up to make sure they have everything they need and that is really is just sitting in a queue waiting for underwriting, rather than an issue / something outstanding that's holding it all up.thaddy said:
Arrghh that must be so frustrating. It's hard be patient when you know there are possible errors taking place in the background. I'm dithering on whether to call Nationwide directly just incase there's a hold up.lemliss said:Chased Nationwide today and apparently the surveyor has uploaded the form in the incorrect format so they can't assess the valuation. They haven't called to request it resent and I wouldn't have known if I hadn't chased. I'd never go with Nationwide nor recommend them to anyone in the future. Its down to me to get the correct format of valuation resent. I could just scream.0 -
I got through to someone at Nationwide. The case has been approved pending valuation, apparently an email was sent to my MB yesterday. I hadn't received a text to advise of a valuation being booked so hopefully that gets done soon, it's a new build so I'm not sure how it's done in Scotland tbh or whether they'll just use the information they got last time around!

If it helps put you at ease after reading that post from gunner786, my wife claimed the SEISS and ours has been approved pending valuation. I think it was @haras_n0sirrah who advised they are looking at it on a case-by-case basis.khtaylor said:
Are you kidding? My partner also took this.gunner786 said:Heard from my mortgage broker today.
NW declined me because i took the self employment grant 2 months ago.
Self employed average of 20k over last 3 years1 -
I have just had a halifax case approved with someone who took the bbl - they are looking at the latest 3 months bank statements to determine income1

Finally got an update saying that our documents have been vetted today and will now be passed for full assessment.
I dont think I want to ever buy a house again after this wait2 -
Hello all, lurking in here for the past fews weeks, and thought i'd add my timeline to the mix!
NATIONWIDE FTB -
Full application - 22nd July
Hard credit check - 1st August
Physical Valuation booked - 19th August
Just had the valuation appointment come through today, oh it's going to be a long few weeks waiting...though i am assuming that the rest of the application has gone through fine, and it's now moved to the valuation stage. Though this is the stage that worries me most, as it could derail everything...
Good luck all!1 -
Hi, my partner and I are first time buyers. This is our timeline with Nationwide
AIP- 29th July decision acceptFull Application - 31st July
Valuation text - 5th August
Valuation date - 8th AugustThere has been no hard search on either of our credit files, I’m guessing they will do this after valuation.0 -
Our MA is not even reply to messages and call at the minute. Nationwide passed me this info so I’m assuming they would have passed him the same. Absolute joke.firsttimebuyerlpl said:
I’ve already emailed him as sometimes he does reply in evening. If not, I’ll be on the phone. Nightmarelemliss said:
For godsake. Its like they don't understand the stress?! Id be on the phone to my MA at 9am. Let me know what they say xfirsttimebuyerlpl said:
I’ve just spoken to NW in live chat and they said all the info they have is that the property my not be suitable to lend against and someone will contact us soon. Our MA hasn’t got in touch yet so we have no idea what the issue is. It’s never ending.lemliss said:
Because ours was meant to be done on 20th and wasn't and we were never informed; our surveyor messaged to tell us they submitted their report at 2pm. I called and Nationwide said they didn't have it, I confirmed they definitely did and then they found it on another system (the guy said they upload the valuation and then it has to be moved over to the NW server). Worth chasing for sure xfirsttimebuyerlpl said:
Ah that’s great to know. Thank you. Yeah I don’t believe they haven’t received the report by now. I would expect a couple of days for it to be uploaded but feel like it was just an excuse while they asses. Going to speak to NW again today to see where we arelemliss said:Our surveyor came this morning (we rent the property we are buying and it was a physical Valuation) he said the reports are completed and signed off on day of valuation and their systems are linked to the Nationwide so they automatically receive them the same day. I know its 7 working days to assess documents but he did say feel free to chase because they sometimes say they don't have the report and they do. X0
