    Wow 50 days! Thats ridiculous.

Im on working day 23 now and they said estimated 26 working days. Im a ltd co contractor so classed as self employed and application is having to be done manually to over ride the computer that says no lol.
All cases of over 85% and self employed are referred and manually under written now by nationwide since may 1st i beleive.

Called Nationwide Mortgage update line today.  The guy on the phone told me the following:  He said at the moment all referred mortgage applications are going through 2 stages.  The first stage is vetting, making sure all documentation is present and correct etc.  The second stage is the final decision with the underwriter.  He said I have passed the first stage, and the second stage is due to be completed on 30/10/2020, so a week on Friday.  He said that usually they wait to book a valuation until the final decision with the underwriter, but because I am "subject to accept", this may be able to done earlier, and he has sent an email to the valuation team to see if this can be booked in.  Can anyone explain what he meant by "subject to accept"?????  I asked him to repeat it three times and he definitley said "subject to accept", and he said that it means as long as my documentation is correct then I will be accepted?!?!  But then he kept saying "final decision" so I am a bit confused to be fair.

I hope you don’t mind my asking, when did you submit your mortgage application?

Just to get an idea of where ours could be up to.
    Thank you 😊

Called them to check in given time of day... we were misinformed yesterday... valuation won’t be booked until the 30th October... if the sellers don’t decide to give up on us and put it back on the market by then

nightmare at mo, if nationwide cant handle the demand they really need to put a stop on new applications until they can offer decent service levels
