Your usage and billing figures are utterly weird.
    • In October 2019 the electricity was £58.34 and the gas was £67.59.  I make that a total of £125.93 and yet you say the 'Energy Bill' was only £115.41??
    • In December 2019 the electricity usage increased from 407kWh to 431kWh but the cost decreased from £58.34 to £56.44??
Where on earth are these figures coming from?

Find out the existing kWh and standing charges rates, and then get a quotation from Robin Hood Energy / Ebico PDQ before they withdraw it.  You can always cancel it if you solve the problems in the next 14 days. It won't last long.
  • Hi,
if OP's elderly parent has been supplying readings it maybe that he has given wrong readings from the meter, even the OP doesn't know.

It's easily done - the meter has a reputation for being one on the most unfriendly going.  Wait till she tackles the gas version!

Quick look through this thread and to me gas heating is on most of the time? Fans are used when it gets to hot and immersion heater is also used? On or off at the moment?

Op regardless, for that size of house, radiators should be turned well down in unused rooms. Check settings on boiler, check thermostat on wall. Check all bills.

You parents might have kept all bills, look them out an post readings with letter after them E estimate, A actual, C customer.

Also look at both meters and post the readings.
