We have a very similar timescale to you and my MA rang them today and platform said we should hear back end of next week! :)

Oh that’s promising, I really hope so. Keep me updated and I will do the same! Thank you 😊
  • Is the wait time shorter when you resubmit documents or give additional information when asked?
  • let’s hope platform are open tomorrow and pushing through some applications!!!! By buyers are 42 working days in!!!
I am....over 12 weeks from the paperwork went to Platform and over 16 weeks from the start of the process when I booked my first call with them. I’m porting though and if your buyers are new customers it’ll be a lot quicker. Platform are now outside of the 12 weeks timeline which was initially 6-8 weeks. I appear to have no control / no ability to do anything and just have to sit and wait until they decide to finish my application review. Has anyone else had this?
Wow that is utterly ridiculous..12 weeks as current customers. Yes I’ve read on here new customers are dealt with faster...which doesn’t make sense...is the current wait time 12 weeks? Have you rang up?
Oh yes - we’ve rang. We were told 6-8 weeks. Called at 8 weeks. Told 10-12 weeks. Called at 10 weeks and told they were reviewing that week and it would take one day to review. Read new customers are being turned around quickly so lodged a formal complaint. Got to 12 weeks and called again - was told it was on the list to be done that day and they’d ring once it had been done to confirm / request anything else they might need. I’m sure you’ve guessed it - but we haven’t heard anything ...

I can’t speak to anyone but the middle man who relays timelines provided to them. We’re completely lost and have no control / ability to even talk to someone properly. It’s hard to manage the transaction when I’m constantly providing timelines that are then false....

No new customers panic - all horror stories relate to existing customers from my understanding.

The middle man being the person on end of phone at platform who essentially looks at a computer and tells you the timeline??
crazy esp as they told you it would be looked at same day.

My new application seems to be nearly done - I managed to get straight through to Platform at 9am this morning, and now all they are waiting on is our completion date!
Although it benefits me, I cannot believe they can take on new customers and service them while existing customers are pushed to the back of the line. Existing customers should always be the priority and not be pushed to the back of the line but this appears to be the case with most industries nowadays.

Great news Ned. What do you mean Completion date? Is it a new build? When did you apply and did you have to resubmit any more documents after??

Yes it's a new build. We're also using two LISA's, help to buy and additional gifted deposit, so there's been a few complications (and expenses) along the way.
The timeline is a little confusing but I believe the application was submitted 06/11 and we received the mortgage offer two weeks later.
