Yay! So happy for you :)
  • Gave Platform a call this afternoon to see where our application was in the queue - they're currently assessing applications submitted the first week of October if that's any help to anyone else porting.

I'm leaving it in the queue as our application was added on 6th November so at this rate I can just cancel it once we (hopefully) get our mortgage offer with the Leeds, who are happy with our documents and are now waiting for the valuation figure (survey carried out yesterday). I wouldn't normally do two applications in tandem but with Platform taking forever, we've had to go elsewhere (plus we're not anywhere near the front of the queue so seems pointless cancelling at this stage before we've hopefully had an offer from the Leeds).

So.. Help to Buy have queries regarding our application and can't give authority to exchange until they are done. This should've been the easy part!
It turns out that while Platform have our correct address on their system, the paperwork shows an error in the address and therefore it's had to go back to the mortgage valuation team to accept the correct address and to amend the paperwork, which has delayed things further.
It's just one thing after another at the moment!

This is very helpful. We got ours in first week of October although four or five weeks ago I was told they’re looking at applications for end of September. I mean I’m really questing what the hell they’re actually doing. My whole transaction is at risk having been in this process with platform for 17 weeks now (4 weeks waiting for two calls and 13 weeks since paperwork was with them). I can’t seem to speak to/they won’t let me speak to someone who can actually help me. I just get told ‘we don’t do applications so we don’t know anything’ time and time again. I’m so extremely stressed - it’s ridiculous.  How is this legal? They’re able to turn around new customers in 30 days. It took them 8 weeks to even get a valuation booked in ? Other people having that done within seven days. I’m going crazy with the pressure we’re under and it’s hopeless. I’ve made a formal complaint - they take 4-6 weeks to respond and they’re going to do f*** all. :-(((((
    Good luck everyone!!!

Hey we are in the same position, applied in Nov and called today said they are over 12 weeks to wait for an offer which would be Feb. I complained but seems that will make little difference, outrage that other providers have a new offer on 2 weeks but Platform can’t do less than 3 months!! The cheek of new customers being prioritised too is disgusting. If they’re rates weren’t so low it would be easier choice to go with someone else instead but we’re kind of stuck as our fixed rate doesn’t end till end of Feb!

Really helpful thread tho, thanks for all these updates! I will just keep calling every week!

for those Porting - when did your valuation get done? And how long to get the money transferred after the offer?

I called today and they're working on 7th October. We have had our valuation done, about 4 weeks ago, and applied in the first week of November. Although the initial phone call was 17th September followed by a mortgage advisor appointment on 30th October! We're porting also
