I'm leaving it in the queue as our application was added on 6th November so at this rate I can just cancel it once we (hopefully) get our mortgage offer with the Leeds, who are happy with our documents and are now waiting for the valuation figure (survey carried out yesterday). I wouldn't normally do two applications in tandem but with Platform taking forever, we've had to go elsewhere (plus we're not anywhere near the front of the queue so seems pointless cancelling at this stage before we've hopefully had an offer from the Leeds).
Good luck everyone!!!
Meanwhile the valuation report has come back with the Leeds so they're just waiting to assess it. So in comparison, my timeline with the Leeds has been:
14th December: Application submitted
18th December: Mortgage declaration signed and submitted along with requested documents
4th January: Mortgage valuation carried out
6th January: Valuation report received, awaiting assessment
Bear in mind we've had Christmas and New Year in between and there's a pandemic/lockdowns going on (which Platform has been leaning on heavily as an excuse since we started the porting process about eleventy billion years ago...).

We are porting. Platform received our formal application on the 14th of November. It took over a month of phone calls to get to the stage of submitting our formal application. We have sold our house and must vacate by the 29th of January, in hindsight we shouldn’t of concluded the sale prior to getting our mortgage offer but we were at risk of losing our buyers. We are still waiting for our mortgage offer, and we have just been told by the sellers of our onwards purchase that we have until the end of January or they are putting their house back on the market. We will lose our onward purchase and this will leave us with nowhere to go. Oh and I am 32 weeks pregnant, and we also have a dog and three cats which is an obstacle to finding a suitable rental/ temporary accommodation. I don’t know what to do. I have read this forum throughout and I can see that existing customers are also experiencing the same ridiculous timescales, while new customers are being prioritised. We tried launching a complaint but they just reiterate that they are busy, ect. We asked if they would waive the ERC to allow us to go elsewhere, and ofcourse they said no.Worst case scenario is slowly happening for us. If we have to start looking for a new onwards purchase, what seller is going to be patient enough to deal with these ridiculous timescales? We are set to lose thousands via the ERC, whilst losing our onwards purchase and finding ourselves homeless with a newborn. Send help!0

Sounds awful, we complained and they said that it was rejected as we were told 10-12 weeks during the phone interview. But it took over a week for the paperwork to arrive and then they couldn’t tell us what ID to send them. They said whilst they won’t promise 10-12 weeks that they are increasing staff to cope but who knows if they will make a difference now!
To be honest if it goes through before 31st March I think the chain will have to wait for it, if anyone starts a fresh chain now they’d be hard pushed to get everything through before 31st March!0 -

Send help!I would expect 15 weeks maybe 16 weeks from the date they put your application on the system (which is not necessarily the day they received it). Ours was a day later. It’s totally out of your circle of control so you can’t do anything. I would let your solicitor and seller know that it’s the mortgage company (Lender) and they’ve signalled back logs.I’ve complained and it’s got me no where and it doesn’t have any influence on them. They don’t care. The amount of times I’ve been told someone will call me and they don’t.We do not have our offer but I can let you know when we do if that would help? Our form was in early October.1
