  • If this is helpful to anyone, when I phoned Platform today I was told they're up to applications submitted at the end of September in the queue (not helpful) and have recruited 14 more agents to handle the backlog in the last week or so (more helpful). So if anyone has applied recently, hopefully they should get a quicker result. It's no good to us as we joined the queue on 6th November (porting and borrowing more). I assume this is the porting queue as I've been told they have a different department for new applications (I have also been told it's all the same queue but my MA's contact at Platform told her it's a different queue/process).

We'll still be cancelling but I'm leaving our application to chill in the queue a bit longer just whilst we get a bit further with our application with the Leeds (they've already asked for documents and the signed customer declaration after less than a week, which is further than we've got in 6 weeks with Platform! It's nuts really).

Hope that's helpful to someone on here! :)
End of sept? That’s ridiculous!!!..we are just waiting for our buyers whose MA put them with Platform...new application..applied on Oct 27 and still waiting too...hope they realise they could cause properties to fall through with the amount of time they are taking..
When the (very nice) guy checked for me, I literally just started laughing! It's either that or cry. It's just insane.
I’m starting to cry - I’m just constantly worried the sellers will pull out. The longer this goes on alongside all the Covid news the more anxious I get. I don’t understand what they’re playing at and how they haven’t worked out to move teams around to service everyone. I’m jealous of everyone getting a mortgage in 30 days. We’re at the 12 week mark since paperwork was with platform (I try to forget the four weeks prior to that where we had to have calls with Platform which answer all the questions I then wrote down on the application form).

I really empathise - they’re a complete shower and they’re putting peoples transactions at risk with their poor planning. Do you have to stay with Platform?
  • When you resubmit further documents that are asked for by UW anyone know how long the queue is for it to be rechecked??
  • @mowgliisaG If documents have been uploaded, be sure to call them and notify them so they can escalate it - Some have said 24hrs and some have said 5 working days but you can ask them what their current timescales are when your on the phone to them.

Okay great @shan2627 what’s your story with platform??
    Thanks
  • @mowgliisaG no worries, hope you hear from them soon! We applied on the 8/12, first time buyers with 10% and still waiting on valuation to be instructed. A little frustrating but trying to stay patient. When I called today they said their current timescales after valuation are 7 working days and when a document is uploaded to make sure someone has notified them to escalate it so your not waiting longer than needed.

Well it’s my buyers who are applying via Platform..they applied 27/10. Valuation done on 28/10...were told last week they needed a gifted deposit form and a few other things, they sent all on Saturday and the wait continues...
  • @mowgliisaG I would definitely advise them to notify them. If they have asked for final docs it should hopefully be soon fingers crossed

Hope so - they are 65% ltv not FTB...both not affected by Covid so should be straightforward but has taken such a long time...
where are platform in the queue?
  • They didn't say, so are they porting their mortgage? Best thing to do is get them to call first thing at 9 and you will get answers. I did this first thing and got through pretty much straight away.
