Solicitor has also chased them, was told "we have a backlog" and that they would "try" to get it over as "soon as they can"
This is the only thing stopping me from exchanging and completing. Everything else has been done for weeks. I got the mortgage offered on 7th October!0 -
First query received from Platform since valuation has been done a couple days ago. They asked about a regular payment coming into my account each month. I've gone straight back with a response. Anyone else have experience of a similar query and was the application then quickly progressed thereafter?

I just wanted to pass on my experience as I have been obsessively checking this forum during my own application. My full application went in on the 7th of October and I have just received my offer today. (21 working days)
However, I have to stress that my advisor was fantastic at keeping on top of them in order to meet my completion date. This involved a lot of time on hold and a few telephone calls. He reported different experiences depending on the call handler he spoke with.
The only query I received was on Friday just past re what my share of equity from my sale was going to be.
I know when I was checking on here and other mortgage pages I was always trying to find a positive story to reassure myself, so hopefully this might help someone else.
I hope that everyone gets their offers soon, Take Care.1 -
The stupidity of platform is almost endless.
On a bright note, my solicitor has finally received her copy of my mortgage.
I phoned platform myself yesterday, after getting through to them, I was told the letter my solicitor had sent to them requesting my offer to be send to the correct branch wasn't detailed enough, and that another needed to be sent with the old branch address, new branch address, the reason for the change, and that they had my consent.
I then phoned my solicitor to tell her this, when she then said " I received my copy this morning!"
.
Something I really wasn't expecting!

CraftySquirrel said:So. To recap (again)
- 6 and 7 August - completed application with broker who submitted late on 7th.
- 10 August - 1st working day (Monday)
- 8 September - called broker to ask how long they were expecting applications to take. They had been told it was taking 23 working days for them to look at applications.
- 10 September - couple of queries re bank statements and asked for proof of deposit (in another bank account hence the Q) (23rd working day, so bob on what the broker had been told)
- 23 September - ran Broker who advised that he expected me to next hear from Platform on the 23rd working day from 10 September. A couple of other forum members advised that they had been told that once further docs were requested that they would hear (or had heard) in approx three working days.
- 14 October - 24th working day from 10 September. Broker contacted Platform and were told that they were now escalating and I would hear within five working days.
- 22 October - 6 working days later, Broker heard from Platform who are inexplicably now asking what the sale price of my current property is!!!! I've told them, but they are saying it will be another five working days.
Today, 6 working days later, they are now wanting a gift form completing as I was gifted some money back in April which had absolutely nothing to do with buying a house. In fact that was a few months before we even thought of it. It is also something they first queried on 10 September!!!!!I’m absolutely livid. They’re an absolute joke.Working day 57 and counting...
Very pleaded that we can now progress after a lot of stupid messing about, but I will never use Platform again, and shall be telling everyone I know to avoid like the plague.
Huge congratulations to everyone who’s had an easier ride, and all the luck and patience to everyone still waiting.
Now off to bother my husband with all the Pinterest boards I’ve been creating, as he’s refused to engage in house chat until the mortgage was approved...2025 52 Week Saving Challenge #15 18/52
