Just heard that ours went to offer on 30th October - bang on their 30 day average offer service levels.
    - applied 18th sep
    - sent docs 24th sep
    - one query came back 20th Oct regarding evidence of everyday expenditure
    - homebuyers report and valuation 27th Oct
    - offer faxed to our solicitor 30th Oct

we always expected it to take a whole so have been pretty pleased with Platform. No issues with being on maternity leave and they have been very helpful and friendly on the phone too.

Congratulations glad everything went ok for you. Wish I could say the same thing. We were told ours was going to offer 3 weeks ago once we sent proof of deposit. Which we did straight away. Yesterday they came back asking for the proof of deposit again after us sending it 3 weeks ago. I can honestly say they have been a total nightmare and must be one of the worse mortgage companies out there. Someone on the same development as mine waited 14 weeks for an offer off platform which when came back was 20k less on what they originally said she could have. Totally not fair. Our neighbours on the other hand, applied around the same time as us (new build) and had offer back within 2 weeks with Halifax and they were on furlough. Doesn’t make sense.
  • Congrats to the folks who have been receiving their offers. Unfortunately I think my application will be rejected on account of structural survey results which show the kitchen extension to have suffered from differential settlement. Yet to have a response from Platform since they were sent a copy of the report.
  • Hi guys, last time I rang up everything was ready to go to offer pending the valuation. Our valuation has just been done and it was valued at the exact amount we bought it for, so all good there. Our MA just said its with underwriter now for final assessment. When I rang up the lady I spoke to on the phone said everything had been signed off, they were confident with our lending ability and financial situation, and all they were waiting on was this valuation figure. If that's the case, do you think this underwriter's final assessment is just formality before sending through the offer, or do you think we may now be met with queries? (We haven't received any queries so far but we provided so much info in the application, we believe they have everything they needed from the get go). Thanks in advance
  • Hi all, we got our mortgage offer today so they must be getting on top of things! We applied on 1st October. Valuation was completed within 2 days , questions yesterday re transactions on statements and issue offered this afternoon!!!!

Of course. So they asked on my statement about a larger sum of money that had been sent to me by my husband, and asked him about why a couple of transactions had been made. Nothing too picky really

Ah ok thank you :) all seems fairly reasonable then and very quick for you to receive your offer so shortly after answering their queries. Hoping for the same this week now valuation is all done and dusted!

  • I'm on the 12th business day of waiting for platform to send my offer to. The correct solicitor!

Thats ridiculous! Ask your MA to get in touch with a manager at platform to get it sorted. Usually they have a contact. I'm still waiting on my amended offer from last week so i emailed my MA and he said he got in contact with a manager there to get it actioned today. Worth a try anyway
