Update - Offer arrived in the post this morning.
So ours went a little something like this:
16/08 - Application Submitted.
04/09 - MA advised Valuation has come back (assumed desktop valuation) and case is awaiting underwriter.
28/09 - Query regarding my wife having been furloughed and request for confirmation of returning on full pay.
01/10 - MA uploaded letter from my wife’s employer confirming no long on furlough and current salary.
09/10 - MA chases Platform and is advised we have been accepted offer should be issued in the next two weeks.
12/10 - Offer arrived in the post.
Glad that one is done and with a bit of luck we might even move before Christmas! Good luck to everyone still waiting.0 -
Congrats! I wonder how your arrived in the post so quickly. My offer was accepted on Wednesday 7th Oct, nothing has arrived in the post, and I haven't received anything via email from MA. MA didn't tell me it can take up to two weeks for it to arrive!Geek_ said:Update - Offer arrived in the post this morning.

Has anyone else experienced Platform asking for the most up to date bank statements as the application was submitted over 2 months ago so the ones submitted are now not the most up to date?!0
-
As I understand speaking to Platform, on Tuesday 6th Sept they were working on 4th Sept applications and Thursday 8th Oct they were working on applications made on the 7th Sept. Our application went in on the 11th Sept so hopefully not too long now and for you too. Fingers crossed!Flemington94 said:Has anyone that submitted theirs on 08/09 or later got any further forward than 'awaiting assessment'?1 -
They asked my MA for more up to date statements on 02/10 and i submitted my application on 08/09. Although they are yet to actually assess them as far as I'm aware!12ch12 said:Has anyone else experienced Platform asking for the most up to date bank statements as the application was submitted over 2 months ago so the ones submitted are now not the most up to date?!0 -
Submitted on the same day and haven't heard anything yet either. From what has been said in this thread it looks like we could hear this week or next. Fingers crossed.Flemington94 said:Has anyone that submitted theirs on 08/09 or later got any further forward than 'awaiting assessment'?1 -
Applied 03/09 and got mortgage offer today.
Broker sent it through via email!!!
So relieved.0 -
So to recap my journey so far:
- 6 and 7 August - completed application with broker who submitted late on 7th.
- 10 August - 1st working day (Monday)
- 8 September - called broker to ask how long they were expecting applications to take. They had been told it was taking 23 working days for them to look at applications.
- 10 September - couple of queries re bank statements and asked for proof of deposit (in another bank account hence the Q) (23rd working day, so bob on what the broker had been told)
- 23 September - ran Broker who advised that he expected me to next hear from Platform on the 23rd working day from 10 September. A couple of other forum members advised that they had been told that once further docs were requested that they would hear (or had heard) in approx three working days.
On a lighter note, my husband is refusing to have any even hypothetical conversations about potential decoration or furniture etc until the mortgage offer is in. During this time I have created several pinterest boards... he's in for a fun time listening to my thoughts and plans in one big chunk

We had a Email yesterday from the broker to say they have requested more up to date bank statements (the reason they aren’t the most up to day is due to them taking so long!) but as we gathered these together the broker emailed back to say they have spoken to someone at Platfrom, and our file is getting put forward for offer approval check and should take a few days... which will be about 2 weeks my guess! Surprisingly they don’t need the documents they previously requested so I don’t know what’s going on

Got an update today from MA - platform queried who would be residing in the property after completion, and about not being registered on the voters roll even though i am (sent him a letter for proof). They had also asked for my solicitors details and to sign and return a direct debit mandate... surely this is positive and i might get my offer soon?0
