I'm not sure why but so far the process for me has been much quicker than what others have experienced on here, I just hope my good luck continues...

    01/09: Agreement in principle

    03/09: Application submitted via MA

    08/09: Survey carried out

17/09: Been informed survey is fine & MA expects an offer by the end of next week
Good luck with that. We were told that for the first time on 07/09. Still waiting...

I think there is a bottleneck to get the offers out. Our application was vetted and went on to underwriting about a week after valuation survey. About a week later we were told we had been approved for an offer. Now this is where we are. Stuck at this point. It seems that once its approved by the underwriters it then goes off to HQ or some other team who eventually accept the approval to issue the offer. We were told on friday it would take up to 14 working days to receive an offer in the post. Friday was day 5.

Everything with platform is soo disgustingly slow.
2 to 4 business days to respond to each MA follow up on queries.
Goodness knows how long to get an offer
Followed by another 2-3 weeks of working days just to get in in the post.

I'm still waiting for an offer on mine, was told 1.5 weeks ago it'd be within 48 hours......

Tomorrow will be the 40th working day, and apparently they're still querying a gift declaration from my parents, in spite of what MA said...

And my application is for FTB, a simple and straightforward application.

I still have no idea at what stage my application is at and today marks 7 weeks. I decided to check my credit report and 2 searches were done on 4th August, would this be a hard and soft search as one of the searches said it would not impact my credit rating and the other said it could impact it. My credit rating has actually improved since the search.

The one that says WONT impact your credit score is a soft search used for the AIP, the one that says it WILL impact your credit score is a hard search used on the full application. If you are progressing still, credit score will not be an issue. The underwriting team may question some transactions etc on your account but just be honest and all should be fine.

Thanks for your help. All my broker keeps saying is that the lender is still assessing and refuses to give any detailed updates. The last thing we heard 1.5 weeks ago was that the lender requested our solicitor's details even though that was on the application. I just want to know what stage our application is it and why it is taking so long as I hear lenders such as Halifax offer within 2-7 days.

My suggestion would be to call them yourself. If you look back at this thread I have provided the contact details. Each time I have spoken to Platform they have been very helpful and happy to speak to me.
I get it's very frustrating. I put in my full application the start of the month and have my HB report booked in for 28th Sept so compared to others it seems to be pretty quick.
I have chased them directly a fair amount though.
Platform told me they won't even be looking at underwriting until the first week of October so I am anxious to get that done.

On My file it says they were doing a search based on 2k less than what my DIP was based on, is this normal?
ie, DIP was £82k, search said £80k.

I just called them and they were very helpful. Unfortunately as my broker has not been in contact with them, our application has just been stuck in a queue. Platform has put an urgent chaser on this to review. So disgusted in my broker, L&C. Platform advised that every time a document is submitted, the broker needs to inform Platform of this.
