Platform Mortgage

We actually agreed with Platform to instruct the survey as soon as possible when we were paying the porting and survey fee. When they received our application pack on the 7th August they instructed the survey on the same day as our vendor EA called us about it. It was booked for 1st September which the EA tried to challenge to gave sooner but to no avail. I have wondered what date we would have got if we had waited till after underwriting as those lead times are long. It was a gamble to have the survey done sooner than underwriting as if you are rejected for an offer you lose the survey fee too but we wanted to get everything else completed so that at the issue of mortgage offer we would agree exchange and completion asap.madwife260 said:Whats the lead time for valuations? Is it before or after they have done the underwriting? Or when they look at your evaluation?0 -
Thankyou. The valuationand survey is free, part of product we have applied for. Application only went in 2nd sept so I'm just getting itchy feet.
But after 2 unsuccessful applications, not rejects, just pulling products, and our offer going in mid July we are feeling so very anxious that the seller is going to pull out soon as we are taking so long.0 -
We paid for the building survey. That must be nerve wracking for you. 3rd time I wouldn't have gone with Platform. They have really competitive products but the process is hideously long.madwife260 said:Thankyou. The valuationand survey is free, part of product we have applied for. Morning all, we have gone with Platform as their interest rates were low and worked out best for us monthly, however reading the above it seems they are much slower than other lenders, or is 26 working days (as shown on their website) similar amongst all lenders right now?? We have passed the DIP, can anyone tell me if this is a hard credit search and therefore we are likely to be offered the mortgage? Thanks

Can i ask what the query was for the gift declaration? Might find myself in a similar situation annoyingly...DeletedUser said:Everything with platform is soo disgustingly slow.
2 to 4 business days to respond to each MA follow up on queries.
Goodness knows how long to get an offer
Followed by another 2-3 weeks of working days just to get in in the post.
I'm still waiting for an offer on mine, was told 1.5 weeks ago it'd be within 48 hours......
Tomorrow will be the 40th working day, and apparently they're still querying a gift declaration from my parents, in spite of what MA said...
And my application is for FTB, a simple and straightforward application.0 -
Unfortunately according to our mortgage advisor platform was the only option. We are FTB with only 10% deposit with half of it being gifted. Its so frustrating. Hate all the lenders at the moment!!!! Hahaha!
I would just like to hear, yes or no and then go with the process! Its the limbo thats so frustrating now.
With regards to the gifted letter, our mortage broker has said that platform have changed the layout of the form so new ones have to be submitted. I dont know of thats the case with anyone else.0 -
Sure, Platform claimed they hadn't received it, when MA had uploaded it to them. I don't think there was anything wrong with the declaration per se, or at least I hope not. I suppose if there was a problem with the signed form, I shan't know about it until the end of the week!Lulubelle_1 said:

If you've only put in the application in a couple of weeks ago, don't expect an offer from Planform until at least November!madwife260 said:Thankyou. The valuationand survey is free, part of product we have applied for. Application only went in 2nd sept so I'm just getting itchy feet.

Why the heck do these things take so long!!!!!0 -
It'd be interesting to know how many people on this thread are now above the current 26 working days on average, according to Platform, to get offered a mortgage0
