I remember one Sunday evening watching a procession of Range Rovers. We wondered where they were going and then worked out they were going into one of England's most expensive boarding schools (over £10K per term). All Range Rovers. It would have embarrassing if daddy didn't have one. Seemed strange that nobody seemed to have bought any other luxury brand.

The big drawback is that when I mentioned it to the lads at work they (and some of the girls too) absolutely rinsed me for thinking of buying a "hair dressers car"

When I got my first one, I got lots of Victoria Beckham comments (I think she did the launch of the Evoque or something) but anyone who then sat in it would quickly change their opinion.
She was involved in the design (probbably not that much, cant imagine McGovern gives much control away, otherwise there would be more variance in appearance)
I think she was involved with the design of a "special edition"  IE spec'ed that paint, wheels and finishing touches etc. No actual input into the design of the car itself.

A family member has gifted my partner some money and she would like to purchase/put it towards a used Range Rover Evoque.
I bought a new Evoque for my girlfriend when they first came out; worst car I have ever bought in my life and I would never, ever buy another Range Rover.
The faults are too numerous to mention but included repeatedly breaking down so she was stuck all on her own in the middle of rural Wales as well as driving at 70 on a dual carriageway only for the RR to suddenly drop into limp mode and slow by itself to 35mph, you can imagine how scary that must have been. The standard response from the local Land Rover dealer to most of the faults was "you are not driving it enough"... :o

Many diesels will do the same if the DPF gets blocked.
