The big surprise to me in the energy market, though, has been Siemens Energy which is currently up 70% on my purchase price.  Somehow, you expect exceptional rises (and falls) on AIM stocks, but not for a company as big as Siemens Energy.  I'm undecided on what to do with it, as it was intended as a core holding.  I am tempted not to scale it back to its rightful level in the portfolio, as it will most probably become a useful dividend stock next year.

Same as the likes of Orsted and Vestas Wind Systems. Put renewable or green into the equation and the prices have flown upwards. Solid companies but expectations need to be kept into perspective. Unlikely to become global giants.

With all of this FOMO, just be careful not to be left holding the bag if/when it pops...

I guess how the existing oil companies play this will have a big impact on who emerges as a global giant.

Agreed Cus. Mine look speculative, med- hi risk but ltg, boo & YouGov's are really Aim in Name only, as they have 10 figure market caps.
Gfin and Seeing are less risky than a year ago as they're well placed in rapidly growing sectors, have significantly stronger BOD & management teams & well defined revenue streams.
That aside, I expect a huge ripple and significant dip when the US tech SP bubble goes pop, maybe Late April, early May, so never invest more than u can afford to lose in the medium term (atm I've only 10% of savings in investments).👍

Not just oil but the established energy groups such as RWE, EDP, ENGIE, IBERDROLA to name a few of the European companies.

    Watch out Workhorse (WKHS)

I have mentioned this stock a few times. The catalyst is $6bil USPS contract, this catalyst has been delayed multiple times. A few days ago ARK Invest has started buying WKHS again. Just for today the price has gone up by 30%, the volume has increased by 65% a good sign someone might know something that other people do not know

It might happen the USPS contract will be announced soon. When part of the US$ 6bilUSPS contract is awarded to WKHS, "boom" it will send the price to the moon and it will never look back.

If you want to invest in this stock please do your own DDs.

I think it could also be related to this statement AH yesterday from Biden:
    https://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-biden-autos-idUSKBN29U2LW

Particularly the part about the initiative being achieved by US manufacturers - might be why Lordstown Motors is also up today (although Workhorse own 10% of Lordstown and might utilise its ex-GM plant to build the USPS vehicles if Workhorse won some or all of the contract).

I've been monitoring Workhorse (and Lordstown) myself re: the USPS contract.  Can't quite call it as Karsan Otomotive have partnered with US-based Morgan Olson to propose a plug-in hybrid vehicle.  Morgan Olson are an established supplier to USPS already, so this fact has so far kept me from committing to a punt on Workhorse.

Observing it through this website has been fascinating:
@adindas - a good way to spot stocks starting to make big moves.

Just waiting for the stampede for the exit. Going to be a fair number crushed in the process.
