GameStop (GME) has been in the news for a few weeks, and many people already aware of some irregular activities just by watching the volume. I am not aware someone has ever suggested it in this thread.

But who is going to suggest a stock which is quite similar to a very high level betting against the hedge funds, billionaires? It is like binary option you either win or loss where you are more likely to lose.

But is unprecedented an interesting to see how the ordinary traders could work together to beat the big guys at their own game.

even if someone did, I wouldn't put my money in, even in hindsight. Poor company and no guarantee of it shooting up due to reddit speculation. poor growth too.

Would ratehr put my money in EQT, at least there's room for growth and potential if I wanted a volatile stock ish.

Their profit halved in 2019 compared to 2018, did they make more profit in 2016/17 when their share price was higher.
Not a sector I know anything about, I will leave it alone.

The key thing is, after your own research you feel it is a dead stock, why you invest, other than some reddit users said so. Would rather go to a casino and bet red.

EQT was just an example, SBE are another, both scope for development in their own sectors. I personally didn't invest as I had my money tied up elsewhere, but would have if I could.

Then of course you have TSLA as well although their profits don't deserve their share price at this time. Above my risk appetite for this sector but I do hold it indirectly in IT's/Funds

    Churchill Capital Corp IV (CCIV)

I mentioned this stock about 3-4 weeks ago, when there was a rumour they would be merging with Lucid Motor, a luxurious EV maker . This rumour remain a rumour as there has not been any definitive agreement. See how they perform now in less than four weeks based on the rumour alone you would have made around 3X by now. When you research about Lucid Motor you will understand why people could predict that the merger with Lucid Motor will hugely impact on the share price. I have mentioned some of my reasoning on my previous post.

When the rumours is confirmed the price might reach $50+ before the merger date. But at the current price it is probably too risky to start a position considering Risk/Reward. Keep in mind the rumours might turn to be untrue and they would plunge if the merger falls through.

Rare Earth Metal are needed for EV and ESG project. This is in line to where the money will be pumped during Jo Biden Presidency.
Biden Announces $2 Trillion Climate Plan
Thereis a great shortage of rare earth materials in the coming years. The US and many countries producing EV, Batttery are currently depending on China for the supply of Rare Earth Materials. They will need to break this dependency. I have mentioned one stock a US company mining the rare earth materials a few monts ago eg. MP Materials. See how they perfom now.

Other companies which could follow this path
American Battery Metals Corp (ABML), American Resources Corporation (AREC), Westwater Resources Inc (WWR), Nouveau Monde Graphite Inc. (NMGRF)
They are still babies but might turn to become a monster. I have position in MP materials, ABML,  and have been making a very nice move sofar. I have started building position in NMGRF. I am yet to open in AREC and WWR and will do when I find a good entry point.
Please do your own DDs if you want to invest in these stocks.

    Short-Sellers Fear for the Future

    https://worldnewsera.com/news/entrepreneurs/short-sellers-fear-for-the-future/

These guys have been making multibillion $ by manipulating the share prices in the past. Why complain now, why not while they were making multibillion profits from retailers’ investors? It is because they have been squeezed, beaten up by retailer’s investor at their own game??

You could see how the power of information sharing will have an effect on investors/traders. Nowadays people could easily see the volume in short sellers’ interests in real time. The things these guys have a clear advantage of in the past.

Gamestop a thinly traded stock with lots of short interest. Perfect for a pump and dump, otherwise there's nothing going for it. It made me laugh to see someone suggest that the collapse might stop if everyone held on until the next quarterly announcement. I tried to take a £300 short position a few days ago but my broker doesn't allow "short positions in instruments with a risk category D".
RobinHood has been mentioned in this thread. I though that they weren't available here?

They aren't in the UK. Their business model doesn't meet UK regulatory criteria.
