DW emptied. WM emptied and washing folded in the hope of drier weather soon.
Been on an errand - mum and dad have had a delivery of HM blackcurrant jam made by me, two generous slices of Victoria Sponge made by DD, and a couple of bits. Then off to town to the haberdashery for 3 buttons for the polo top and then up in another direction (which I would normally pass en route to work but I don't go to work atm) to an electrical spares shop for a new bulb for the top oven. Al the while I wore my mask. Mask wearing is a bit sporadic...
Back home and have marked online work.

Dancemum - I would use hot, soapy water and a washing up sponge scourer and leave to thoroughly auir dry.
Any body thinking of swapping to Octopus I can give you a referral link for a £50 credit (for you and me)

Been and collected new glasses, and went to the supermarket too. Glad to be home now as it's very hot here. Got a bit of a headache which could be the new glasses or I'm hot and dehydrated, most likely a mixture of both. I have 3 months to settle into the new glasses or they will change the prescription a bit. Also popped into the hairdressers to pick up some hair oil to take away with me next week. Time for a cuppa9

Work done. Phone calls done. They were all friendly and helpful, so why do I dread them so much? *sigh*. Ensuite cleaned, hair washed and pulled straight. Grey ignored - I am just gong to have to embrace the badger look. Bedroom cleaned. Upstairs vacuumed through. Off to pick up DD soon from meeting with a couple of friends outside for one of their birthdays. Socially distanced? Who knows. I can only nag so many times and trust them to be sensible. DH still working downstairs, so I have taken my cleaning hat off for today, other than cooking dinner and tidying the kitchen afterwards.
Mmmm blackcurrant cake sounds right up my street, Ionafan!7 -
fayolle.. given the fact viral particles can travel many metres just in the air social distance is possibly a waste of time.. it stops you from physically touching another person and direct transmission but it is not going to stop breath or simply talking or singing from spreading air borne beasties, this is the excuse for gyms and theatres to still be closed.. that is precisely how these things rely on transmission as we know. We have to trust that anyone who is unwell has the sense to stay home and hope that when people do inevitably become infected they are not drastically ill with it. As a family we have been lucky, no one required medical treatment .. yet.. We can all take every precaution in the world but there is always that one idiot! There have been so many stories of elderly people out shopping and collapsing with the virus.. no regard for their own or anyone elses health.. the biggest worry is that the older generations don't care if they die, if it was children who were dying they would gladly stay home to protect them.. my mother has told me this herself and speaking to the older folk in the pub they are of the same mentality.. They seem to forget they have family and friends who love them and would be devastated if they were lost... it is so frustrating!
I have done absolutely nothing today.. I made lunch for the girls, packaged 2 ebeasty sales and took delivery of the new stair carpet.. need to message me a carpet fitter who will hate me because carpetting stairs is a horrible job. I had to be fire fighting on a youtube channel.. apparently google classroom enables the children to have a youtube channel and participate on there.. thankfully the comments weren't too bad but you can't shut it down without losing the classroom work too.. this is an issue! It means I have to sit on the girls while they are doing schoolwork and make sure they are signed out of everything ... there are three of them.. thankfully only 2 do any work online because I might never move from the sofa again if there were more!

Sorry I've not been checking in, our landlady is trying to sell which means we have viewings throughout the week at the moment so we are quite on top of keeping things clean and tidy. Fingers crossed we get an "investor" landlord rather than someone wanting to live in the house as we love it here, but not pinning everything on that as it is highly unlikely, methinks.
When I get home from the paid stuff I have a quick wash I want to do, quick sweep of the rooms and some paperwork to file but tonight is mostly going to be about self-care8 -
Towels & bath mat washed, dried and put away. Mouse man has been and laid some bait. I am not sure if the mouse will take it, as it seems to be getting its food from elsewhere. Quick trip to Mr S with DD2 as she wanted to get some icing for a cake for my mum's bestie who will 80 next week.
I have sent the SEND report, but at the same time I got a copy of a letter to say that the little one's EHCP has been declined. i haven't spoken to the mum yet, but I would imagine she is very disappointedI have some other emails to check, but the internet is playing up again. Hopefully it has sorted itself out now, as I have a zoom WI meeting tonight! Tonight it is a still life drawing tutorial
Have a good evening everyone!9
