YORKSHIRELASS said:Narco I have cancelled my gym membership and wont be going back anytime soon. In some ways I miss it, but I am really enjoying the online exercise programme I am doing. Maybe when I am back in the office it will be harder to keep it going. I am thinking about getting a pass for our local Forestry Commission site. There are running and walking and trails and it feels quite safe if I wanted to go there on my own, think it might be expensive though.
Washing finally dried so brought in and folded.
Planted out all broccoli I have space or inclination for: I'll look like broccoli by the end of the month.....advertised the rest on local FB so if nobody's collected it by tomorrow it will have to be compost.
Caught up on a bit of admin. Promising news on the lady who enquired about dyslexia support at work via Zoom: her manager agreed and my quote is being run through HR to decide how many sessions they will pay for.
Pulled out yet more weeds. No further rain today in fact sunny in the afternoon, so the weeds come out easily (but grow fast too).
Friend arrived this afternoon with a very rich but yummy gf chocolate cake he'd made......would have been rude to refuse a (large) slice and anyway I'd done my run.......
Rang the lady who sells gf flour and she is going to look me out some.
I don't seem to have done much resembling flying really other than basics. Mr N tried the new hoover on my car boot and was impressed.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.10 -
My bedroom and DS's done and dusted. Also vacuumed most of landing. Have not had the energy to iron so have draped towels from line on maiden in the hope that any spots of rain evaporate. Will iron tomorrow. DW and WM both on delay, will rin in about 3 hours , next load ready to go in WM.
next craft project will involve patchwork though I still don't know what I'll make. Also need to pick currants.
Hope you all sleep well.

Wow, it was Monday and I've blinked and now it's Saturday, I thought I would be on piste this week but I have been sleeping downstairs on the sofa and only managed the stairs once this week (to poke my head into young Skints bedrooms, shake my head in dismay and return back to my sofa). DS has rearranged his furniture in such away that there's no path to get my Sh@rk in to clean it and things are wedged in tight no drawers will open, I can't get a grip on furniture, keep my balance and have strength to lift it (nice chunk of wall missing when DS put console table wrong side of his bed) so I now have to get someone in to move furniture without causing more damage (DS room is too small and it only works one way.....I've tried).
There have been some dailies S&S done this week, just downstairs on one level only including bathroom (thank goodness its not upstairs), donations dropped off, sorted some more froggy paperwork, and a nice long reflective wait to get in the dump. So although it wasn't a lot, it filled the boot of the small Skintmobile .....upside? I never have to see that junk again or play Tetris with it when I feel poorly.
Quick catch up with Ionafan was most welcome and highlight of my week, Ty so.much XXX
Going to try to get WM on the go today, as only 1 load done this week, and I have a mountain of dirty stuff to get through.
Right, time for more sleep and aim to resurface on new Fred XXX
Hugs sticks and spoons xxxThe cold never bothered me anyway8 -
Morning xx
Much like skint - it was Monday, I blinked, and now it's Saturday. And somehow I have gained 4 lbs and lost every horizontal surface in the kitchen to a pile of 'stuff'. So that's my weight loss, flylady, and clutter banish spinning plates abandoned and in the floor.
I've not kept up with the thread so hugs, sticks, spoons, commiserations and congratulations are in piles at the door with a side helping of get well soons. Please help yourselves xx (I'm hoping to have a mega catch up session later)
Weekend Willi is trying to squish Stressy Bessy back into her box so that we can find some normality here. Someone told me that my particular brand of normality is no longer available, so I'll have to build myself a new one. Oops out pops Stressy Bessy again. She's like a freaking yoyo and wearing me out.
Ommmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
Round 1
shower and wash hair
get dressed
feed the birds
put out the rubbish
brew two
I've made my bed and savoured brew one.
I'll set my flylady and my weight loss plates spinning and flylady will get clutter banish going again. Advance notice: I'll be asking you all to sit on the lid of Stressy Bessy's box from Tuesday to Friday - if we can keep her contained I won't have to start again next Saturday and the next Saturday.
I love you guys

Morning all - little odd jobs to catch up on today. Got the one and only load of normal washing in the WM to go outside to dry, then over the weekend will do the usual changeover of towels and bedding so will have some of those to wash.
Today I want to:
- descale the shower head
- refill the bird feeders
- dead head some of my plants
- move the recycling pile from the kitchen out to the big bin
- wash out the kittens litter tray
Giving blood in a little while so just about to make myself some breakfast. Then pamper wise I also want to do a face mask this evening. I'm currently trying to wean off of washing my hair every single day so this morning it's just been rinsed and conditioned, so will see how that goes.9 -
Round 1 completed + I took down and binned the minging shower curtain, replaced with new shower curtain, binned shower scrunchie thing, replaced with new shower scrunchie thing (they breed did you know? - every drawer that I open seems to have a single shower scrunchie thing in it. Now I'm wondering how they breed if there is only one in each drawer????); changed the towels in the bathroom, and towels / tea towels are now swishing whilst I sup my brew two.
I think one of you lovely ladies blew some flylady dust over to supplement my meagre supply - as I certainly wasn't planning on doing those jobs when I wrote my previous post. Thank you
Round 2 (after brew 2 has been savoured)
rinse and recycle cans
rinse and recycle plastic bottles
sort washing into loads
breakfast

When we got home from the surgery late yesterday afternoon - DH is now on his 4th course of ABs- DS1 had arrived and let himself in. Apparently Rosie barked at him but let him in! The bathroom is all put back together apart from 2 screws to fix the toilet down to the floor (the ones that came in the new brackets pack weren't long enough) and the cupboard doors and floors, and I need to touch up a bit of paint and get the new vinyl flooring, but thanks to DS1 it should all cost well under the £500 which would have been the insurance excess.
Today's plan:
- shower and dress!
- make some phonecalls and send some emails, whilst drinking coffee
- finish tidying the study bedroom (did some before breakfast) [fer-ling!]
- tidy up tools and empty bins
- pick the blackcurrants
- start filling my car with things to go to the tip on Monday [fer-ling!]
- dive into the cupboard under the stairs to find the paint to touch up various bits in the bathroom and study
- start sorting the landing cupboard
- after lunch, finish Hero Dr Teddy (one ear, cap, mask, stethescope, embroider face)
- Rosie's walk
- make blackcurrant cake
Hope everyone has a good day xx

Breakfast at 10 to 12 is called brunch, yeah? Porridge for brunchOh, and I fed DS and GF: sandwich, crisps and Jaffa cakes aka at this house a snacky lunch. oh, and decluttered a telephone call from S.... I bet she felt well and truly 'Tiggered' when she put the phone down. Bouncy bounce.

set jeans swishing
change Sweetie's seed and water

Hi all
i also seem to have lost most of the week, mine disappeared under a haze of paid stuff! This morning I have been busy catching up... done so far...
3 errands run
bedding stripped, washed and out on line
2 more wash loads done, 1 on line and towels in dryer as no more room
Dh cleaned bathroom, I did the ensuite
litter trays and all bins emptied and washed
office and spare room hoovered and dusted
bedroom and lounge hoovered and dusted
stairs hoovered, DH did those
going to have some lunch now and then tackle the ground floor. We have decided to use some of the money that would otherwise have been spent on a holiday on redoing our lounge, it was on the list for next year so just accelerating the plan a bit. Decorator is booked as I have neither the time, the skills or the inclination to do it myself. We may start researching new carpet, furniture etc this afternoon or tomorrow.
Have a good day all, take care xx7
