The CS pile is growing - both my bits and DH's. He is making good progress in clearing the far end of his man cave7 -
ironing done including 4 pillowcases straight from the line. DW emptied. rabbits in pen.
Chat with boss who has found some benches on facebook marketplace which he wants for the playground - 5 of them (from a town between here and Dancemum actually) and they'll be delivered and can I transfer almost £500. Erm NO - (I'm PTA Treasurer) - bank transfer with no buyer protection! - so he's going to contact vendor with a COD offer. As it happens I cannot withdraw cash OR do a bank transfer from PTA account because we have a 2 signature cheque signing system to protect US dealing with the monies of a registered charity so I will have to 'sub' them. And I need a receipt.
We have a huge project going on to improve our outside space. I wish I could win the lottery. I would (a) retire and (b) fund it all myself.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
Thank you Honey Bear7 -
Round 3 done + impromptu trip made to pick up a drinks bottle clip from P's as Sweetie's snapped when I put his water back. Coffee and chat decluttered. Jeans have been pegged out, towels and tea towels brought in, FUPA. New clip fitted onto drinks bottle.

- pick the blackcurrants
- start filling my car with things to go to the tip on Monday [fer-ling!] - not yet, but even more bags of rubbish are waiting in the shed
- dive into the cupboard under the stairs to find the paint to touch up various bits in the bathroom and study
- start sorting the landing cupboard - all shelves sorted apart from the bedlinen, which is already quite tidyThree shopping bags still to be emptied
- after lunch, finish Hero Dr Teddy (one ear, cap, mask, stethescope, embroider face) - well, tomorrow will be after today's lunch!
- Rosie's walk
- make blackcurrant cake - not yet, but I've picked over the currants and everything is ready to make the cake tomorrow
I have also cleaned the bathroom thoroughly
Time now to watch Lucy Worsley and British History's Biggest Fibs. I bet she doesn't include the 21st century!
ETA: I was wrong, she did.8 -
Mainly garden flying today:
- lots of weeds pulled out
- greenhouse tidied, last few tomato plants moved from small pots into the last grow bag.
- new bag of compost cluttering up the paved area outside the greenhouse now put in the compost storage bin inside gh
- picked spinach for dinner this eve
- large shrub pruned as it has flowered and was obstructing another which is about to flower.
- Mr N put another bit of garden fence up; front gate posts both now in.
- greenhouse plants and baskets watered
- phone chat with mum
- contacted friend who was meant to be coming round for garden Indian delivery last weekend but rain stopped play; we are going to try tomorrow.
- one load washing done, hung out, brought in, folded and put away.
That's it. Oh, I checked cc bill. Very tired today; thought I slept fairly well so it's either yesterday's run, old age or slothdom - more likely all three.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.8 -
Morning xx
My bed is made, WM is swishing with first load and my brew is hot.

Morning all
I was part of the WAC from 4 this morning but did manage to go back off for an hour or so, just got up for second time... am just having brekkie and a brew, wm is swishing. DH and I are deciding how to spend the day, it is lovely out there. It might be garden pottering or it might be furniture shopping for the lounge, not sure I want to spend a nice sunny day doing the latter but time is pressing if we need to get things ordered.
Have a good day all, back later with some sort of progress report x6
