Ah so after the valuation and mortgage offer - that’s when the ball will get rolling with the solicitor?ubayd95 said:
The estate agent told me they'll only do the legal side of things once the offer is out.Sierra_Juliette said:Can I ask how long solicitors are taking? We sale agreed the property 2 weeks ago tomorrow (Friday), I contacted the solicitor on the Monday to get the ball rolling.I followed up today and he hasn’t heard anything from the vendor’s solicitor which has us a bit worried - especially as this is a private sale.Is this normal? The vendor still has the house up on the buy and sell sites she originally posted on also 😬
But as the survey is next week, I'm pushing them to start now.
Need the draft contract TR1 and searches to happen. If I remember right your survey is 5th of May like mine isn’t it?I’m worried about down valuing however a smaller house came on the market today in a neighbouring town for the same as we offered so I’m hoping this is a good sign.I’m in Northern Ireland so property is a lot cheaper here than in parts of the UK and value doesn’t fluctuate too much between neighbouring towns. I’m actually in one of the most expensive parts of NI 😭 further up north bigger houses are going for tens of thousands cheaper 🙈 still prefer to be at the coast 🥰0 -
We finally got ours offered after 6 very long weeks so just waiting on solicitors etc now.Sierra_Juliette said:

Yes valuation was fine that part was all done within a week of our offer being accepted. It was the requisition of documents and having to go back in the numerous queues that held us all upubayd95 said:

That’s fab! Congratulations 🥳 Jesus this waiting around is killing me! We’ll be 2 weeks in on Tuesday. Have provided the extra payslip requested by the underwriters so hopefully that’s all we need now. Valuation on Wednesday 🤞🏻031192vy353 said:

Hi, has anyone who was previously furloughed been asked to provide a payslip showing they are back at work after initially being told a letter from an employer confirming return and hours etc would be enough? Thanks0

Mortgage fully approved now. Would it state on the tracker if it wasn’t the full offer? Or will I need to wait for the letter to come for what the valuation was?0
