We both still continue to work it doesn’t effect us, but I bet they will want even more info! After 24 weeks I’ve finally cracked!

Yes... you’re right they might now want to see updated statements etc what a bother. Sorry if it’s been asked to you already but why has yours gone on for this long...

We originally went with Aldermore and after 11 weeks they made an offer then retracted it, then after 8.5 weeks Santander declined us, went to appeal it appears the underwriter didn’t read our case properly didn’t think we’d been SE for 2 years, (we have) all info to prove it had gone in and was supposed to have an offer any day. Feel it won’t happen now.

I feel it will -as they got it wrong on their part.... and you’ve proved them wrong so if that was the only thing they declined you on they’d have no reason to disapprove it. Hang tight you’re almost there...

Thank you, yes that’s why they declined us, we pass everything else.

I hope you don’t mind me asking, but we have just been declined by Santander and thinking of trying aldermore, how come they retracted their offer?
Hope you get some good news soon, and fingers crossed tier 4 won’t affect anything!
  • Sorry to hear this ftbohrob... were you waiting long? Are you using a broker to help you along? If you dont mind sharing why you were declined there maybe other options of specialist lenders depending on your circumstances

I’m so sorry, can you not appeal? Do u mind me asking why they declined? We are going through appeal.
I only ask why they declined you because Aldermore are awful, I’d read there reviews before you put your application in. They seem to retract offers and decline people but totally make stuff up. And they still owe us £650. I’d recommend Halifax.
  • After 10 weeks we’ve finally had our mortgage offer approved, subject to review of survey 🙌🏻 Good luck everyone!
