    Mortgage offer in!!!
got the call at 9:30 this morning, the wait is finally over!! It’s like some kind of Christmas miracle!!
Good luck to everyone else waiting to hear!! Xx
YESSSSSS! Congratulaaaaations! Our broker called us at 09.35, how creepy! My boss got his about an hour ago as well - someone must have put a rocket up their bums.
My husband has just suggested we go for a drink to celebrate, before remembering they plopped us back into Tier 3 yesterday. So we're opening the champs over some carrot and corriander soup and the kitchen table hahaha.

    Finally mortgage has been approved.
Started 5th oct & got declined 9th Nov.

appealed the decision with new info and have won the appeal.
letter from solicitor worked for escalation, now just waiting for offer to come out.
    Congratulations 🎉
What was the reason you have declined?

  • Congratulations to all, especially @26c @85c(they really dragged you through it!). I completed yesterday!! Suddenly unpacking boxes has become a pleasure. Good luck with your properties. I will check into this forum now and again to keep others sane through what is an intensely stressful time.

declined due to our company accounts being too far outdated so had to update to 2020 accounts
  • I keep coming back here to see how you're all getting on. Congratulations @26C @85c and @Meh123 🎉 we have exchanged contracts today and completing tomorrow 🙂🙂🙂
22/09 - application submitted with Leeds BS, long story short, on the 9/11 we've been told that Leeds is reducing the amount they're willing to lend by nearly £20k (turns out our broker FORGOT to declare our child on the application)
10/11 - found another mortgage advisor
11/11 - AIP with Santander (single applicant, shared ownership, 85LTV)
    12/11 - all documents sent
13/11 - application with Santander submitted and passed to underwriting. Valuation booked for 23/11
19/11 - mortgage agreed, subject to a satisfactory valuation
    23/11 - mortgage offer issued
    19/12 - completed
  • Hi everyone, I’ve been lurking for quite a while and have got so fed up now that I really need somewhere to vent 😣
    our timeline is:
    12th Oct - application in
    21st Oct - UW Queue
    22nd Oct - valuation completed
17th Nov - UW request more docs
29th Nov - UW request more docs
11th Dec - UW request more docs
and now we wait.... again!!!!!! My husband is E and I’m SE and currently on maternity leave (double whammy!) so even though my husbands salary could cover our mortgage they seem fixated on me. we have 65% LTV. MB is not chasing enough for us, solicitors are rubbish too and won’t write a letter for escalation so just feeling rather fed up!! Anyone else waiting who applied w/c 12th Oct? Sorry to be so moany on a Friday during the festive period but I’m sure you all understand and feel my pain!

Hi @Fate11 , your application seems to be on the long run ! on a positive least it hasn't been declined and the fact they are asking for more information -as frustrating as it is- shows its progressing- just very slowly- easier said than done I know just hang in there. your MB and Solicitors aren't helping by being slow .
What sort of documents did they request ?
I hope this will be the last leg for you and you have your offer by Xmas or at least by the end of the month before its officially 2021. Feel free to vent away I got asked for additional documents too last night and was expecting an answer (was gutted to say the least) and I've only just gone 5 weeks so I totally understand and feel your pain !
  • I’ve been lurking here for a few weeks with a growing sense of dread.
Porting our current Santander mortgage and borrowing extra, total ltv 69%, I’m employed and hubby SE. Made our application last Wednesday direct to Santander and had a phone call today to say mortgage is approved subject to valuation. Completely shocked and assume that having an existing mortgage with them is the reason we were assessed so quickly?
fingers crossed the valuation goes well, that will be one of a thousand things ticked off before moving.
