Both my OH and I are self-employed and I am a company director with income affected during COVID.
Half way through our application a new rule on reviewing company bank statements came through. This showed the income dip and despite healthy bank balance and a return to billings, they'd only consider based on matching income to profit over this period.
Now trying our luck with Nationwide. Fingers crossed...0 -
We've just had a fun update! Apparently as it took a few weeks to sort the accountants projection Santander archived our application and was non-retrievable so our broker had to submit a new application! (despite being told on the phone that they would contact Santander to make sure this didn't happen!). So now our broker is speaking with the solicitor to expedite everything, as we are technically back at the bottom of the pile! We have been assured that it should all be fine and the solicitor will be able to speed it along but at this stage who knows. Had to submit more bank statements for both of us too as the current ones now deemed out of date. Just hoping for some good news soon!0

Update from MB, accounts filed with companies house, Santander business manager has taken it to her boss as said we should never have been declined, and wants him to cross reference it and get out the Appel cue, so something a bit positive.2

Has anyone any experience with Santander and shift pay on the pay slip?
I am on an annualised hours contract in work because my job requires me to work shifts and I have received the same annualised hours allowance (shift pay) for 9 years now. Never had an issue with our previous mortgage companies. Santander have told our broker that they don’t understand my payslips so aren’t willing to take my shift pay into account, and because of this they have lowered the amount they are willing to lend by 30k! The broker has been on the phone all day to the underwriter pointing out the same bit of my pay slip (they have all my payslips from January onwards and all are exactly the same) I’m so upset and don’t know what to do. Has anyone has issues with their shift pay?0 -
In exactly the same boat as a couple of others here... Submitted to UW Queue 28th of October. Came back asking for my partner's most recent bank statement (employed). And also for my Ltd company performance Apr 2020 to date, along with projections for the rest of the financial year. Things did take a dip as expected, so I'm really at a loss as to what they're gonna come back with. Surely they need to recognise that most of us have been affected in one way shape or form this year?
Fingers crossed for all - it's been the most stressful few weeks ever1 -
UW has asked my accountant to confirm why my income has increased and if its sustainable. This is due to promotion. Anyone else had this and what was the result?0
