Our full application just went in last week - am I right in thinking it will be about 3 weeks to go to the underwriters? I was hoping we would hear before Christmas, but am guessing that is unlikely!
depends on your circumstances. We have a SE and E Application, it went in on the 18th October and due to a delay caused by a change of solicitors (put us back 2 weeks) we’re due to get to the top of the queue next week!
however....some employed applications have flown through and been sorted in a couple of weeks.
as a rule it takes between 4/5 weeks to reach the top of the ‘complex’ queue.

I have just noticed my mortgage offer has a typo in the street address.
Anyone had any experience of this? Is it quick to get it reissued? Praying it doesn’t cause a setback.
    Thanks

My solictor details were wrong hence it took a few extra days to get offer out...usually takes 2/3 days to sort and re issue x

I’m so glad that was picked up after offer for you because that’s what pushed me backwards in the UW queue!!! X
  • Do Santander tend to request bank statements for a normal employed application?
Appreciate every case is different, just looking for a general idea.

We have had a message saying we have been approved but they won’t issue the offer until we pay the fees (we decided to pay them up front to avoid paying interest on them).  My question is, if we pay the fee now and the purchase falls through will we loose the money?

in my case yes, my  MB asked me bank statements to calculate expenses and  to see proof of deposit how deposit amount was accumulated in my account.

Not as standard no. They reserve the right to request them at any stage though, we had to give our MB 3 months worth of them but Santander haven’t requested to see them so far. Mortgage brokers are told to only send them if requested.
