Are you both a limited company? Yeah I don’t really understand as if 2 years ltd wasn’t enough why did they not refuse it at the beginning, how long have you been trading?Katemb94 said:
I'm sorry to hear this just catching up on the thread, I hope your appeal goes through OK . We also limited company and they only used 1 years accounts. Really best of luck 👍85c said:
We were told the same. I think if it wasn’t covid we’d both probably be ok.26C said:
I have 2 1/2 years ltd company. the first year shows less profit as it was half year sole trader half company. I think it just depends who’s desk it lands on as i was told the advantage of Santander was they only use your last years accounts but seems like criteria has changed again.85c said:
Oh no!!!! How many years do you have? We submitted 1 year sole trader 2 year ltd company.26C said:
we was declined from halifax for not having enough accounts for ltd company. 🙈85c said:
Do not go to Aldermore they are even worse! Us to! We are going try Halifax.26C said:
Its a joke really. We was about to try aldermore just before Santander but i see you had no luck there. we would be happy with any offer at this point.85c said:
Why is it so much harder for SE people. We are a ltd company, please keep me posted if that’s ok I have everything crossed for you.26C said:
They wasn’t happy with our last year accounts being so long ago so business manager said to get our 2020 accounts into companies house.85c said:
Oh no! What a nightmare! Why did they decline you?26C said:
we have just had an appeal submitted and it took 24 hours to submit but know we are in the re-assessment queue at 6 days long.85c said:
Sorry I remember your wife is a hair dresser, our appeals must have gone in at the same time, apparently it’s 24-48 hours so we should know tomorrow but who knows. I’m not holding my breath!Keefe93 said:
I'm sorry to hear this! I know how you are feeling. I wonder if the same business manager is looking at our cases as we were told the same thing before we put in the appeal! Fingers crossed we both get a bit of luck in the next few days...85c said:That’s what we said, the Santander business manager said she doesn’t know why they turned it down which is why she’s appealing.0

So I'm Employed but my husband is ltd company trading for 3 years. We applied for a mortgage 14 months ago with Santander on our current home and it was declined due to not trading for 3 years and we ended up going with Leeds building society but your totally right they absolutely should refuse at the beginning but I'm pretty sure that they do accept 2 years or less otherwise your MB would not have submitted hopefully they will overturn and you hear early next week85c said:

Our full application just went in last week - am I right in thinking it will be about 3 weeks to go to the underwriters? I was hoping we would hear before Christmas, but am guessing that is unlikely!0
