Ask you MB loads of questions, that's why you are paying them!Ftbohrob said:First post on here 👋🏻Just wondered if anyone can answer my question. When the valuation is done, if they down value the house or if any issues with valuation do they tell you straight away? Or does it wait until application has got to underwriters for us to find out?Valuation has been done, now in underwriters queue, just wondering if that means the valuation was satisfactory or whether we wouldn’t find out until it got to underwriters. We are using a MB so amount of info I can get is limited without asking MB loads of questions. Thanks

Hi, first time poster, long time lurker here.
My application was relatively straightforward (employed with same company for 10 years, no covid impact and lowish LTV). Applied to Santander on 23rd Nov and had my offer today. There was bit of jiggery pokery in between which meant they offered a bit less than AIP

After applying on 19th October I finally had an offer today but 27k lower than we’d requested and agreed in MIP. They are now refusing to count my widows pension as income (husband died young) but my mortgage broker hadn’t used my annual work bonus as part of my income in the application so we’ve contested it using the bonus to fill the income gap.Another 10day wait as I’d previously been asked for better resolution scans of my docs on Nov 23rd so assume it’ll be the same time period again before it gets looked at.
My searches all came back today and doesn’t look like solicitors have many (if any) enquires on them based on the report they sent me so it all feels tantalisingly close if we can get Santander to agree to that last 27k0 -
Congrats! Can I ask what info they wanted from you regarding your mat leave? I’m currently on mat leave, due back in Feb. They’ve asked for my last pay slip and the payslip before I went on mat leave so far. We applied on 13/11 so wondering if they will be asking for anything else.Katemb94 said:I can't believe it!!!

Good luck! They definitely take bonus as mine was included in my income for our application so you should be all dandy!!Fionaanne141 said:After applying on 19th October I finally had an offer today but 27k lower than we’d requested and agreed in MIP. Hi, thanks very much yes off course so my most recent payslip and my last payslip before I went on maternity leave and a letter from my employer stating I would be returning in the next three months on the same conditions. They also asked about childcare costs once I returned but my MB packaged this all in the original submitted case so no additional questions were asked I don't know if they needed the letter or childcare details as we included it from beginning. We applied 10/11 so hopefully yours should be soon too!Emac30 said:

Hi 🙋🏼♀️ first timer poster. Santander interest only joint mortgage. Company director of small limited company and a self employed applicant.Applied 16/09

Valuation booked in 22/12
we are wondering if anyone else has had to wait a month after the offer for a valuation. We are close to loosing our buyers and their buyers 😬😩
so stressed 🤪
Thanks 🏡0 -
Yep it is taking weeks to do valuations, if they pull out there be waiting even longer because it’s not getting any quicker. We are 9 weeks in to our mortgage application was supposed to have an update a week ago but heard nothing.Asjackson said:Hi 🙋🏼♀️ first timer poster. Santander interest only joint mortgage. Exactly, I think everyone in the chain gets frustrated with the current time scales and then estate agents feed back can make you feel panicked!85c said:

Thanks 🏡Sit tight I guess, MB has done everything they can possibly do to speed it up, even our solicitor has contacted Santander to try and bring the valuation forward but no luck. We have had the mortgage application expedited but can’t move forward without the valuation!0
