Also in the meantime I am still getting my electricity for 17.30p per kw. I think by trying to cancel the contract under. the 14 day cooling off period it may just cause me more problems. TBH I should have known better but never mind.
If their licence is revoked tomorrow then won't today be your last day of electricity at that price?
Realised there was the (massive...) £30 dual fuel discount which I'd lose out on by leaving Bulb for more-or-less the same with SoLR.0 -

the tariff continues until (at least) the new SoLR is appointed & a switch date is made official which will take a few days
HOWEVER on the Utility Point thread someone said they phoned EDF, the SoLR for UP, & was told the Utility Point tariff was being honoured until the account is actually moved over to EDFs system which is could take a few months based on how slow EDF were to transfer former GNE customers - whether what he was told is correct is debatable1 -

Who knows! I can't imagine any SOLR will want to supply electricity at that loss for any longer than is necessary, however.

Just guessing here but is it possible that the cost of supplying energy at the cheaper tariff may actually be borne by the fund set up by Ofgem to pay for supplier failures ?
If so then there is less incentive for the SoLR to change the tariff before the accounts are moved over0 -

It's possible - but it doesn't seem fair for everyone else to pick up the bill to maintain NR customers' cheap rate. I suppose it will all come out in the wash very soon!

My go live date with Neon Reef is tomorrow. It is looking like this may be the shortest time I've ever been with one company...2

I went live with them today. Even if they go bust tomorrow, it's still better than paying Eon for that one day. Who knows, the SOLR might honour the price this time.1
