Their website is set up to only accommodate new customer applications - there is no option to re-activate one's account - and the only contact option is email, with a reply time of up to 5 days, which I imagine may be longer at this time.I was with Neon Reef from Feb 20 to June 21 and found them very good and quick to respond. Although last October they had closed the unbeatable Aqua One variable tariff to newcomers, they still kept my prices the same until June.Unfortunately they seem to have suffered along with all the other cheap companies: they were slow to refund my credit so they had to pay £30 compo when I nudged them, but they didn't quibble.Curiously when I tried to rejoin they said they didn't support my E7 meter, but they'd previously had no trouble doing so ! I queried this but there was no response. Perhaps I'm blacklisted as having claimed compo?0

Marvellous. As I suspected, Shell now seem to think that I am their customer, as an orphan from recently defunct Green, and are liaising with me. Actually, I had switched to Neon Reef from Green before they ceased trading, and this is on the central meter register. So, I would now appear to be in a 3 way limbo with Green, Shell and Neon Reef. Meanwhile Green owe me a credit balance, possibly via Shell as the SoLR. So I now have the joy of sorting that out.
Anyway, is anyone interested in knowing what the Shell intended tariff is for orphans of Green? Did Shell take on another company as well?0 -

I would not worry too much about it as its obviously a blanket email sent to every Green customer - even ones who transferred out shortly before Green went bust
Emails from Shell are a good thing as they are responsible for refunding all credit balances even ones from customers who had transferred out

If you have voluntarily left Neon Reef, and now wish to be supplied again by them, you are effectively a new customer as far as sign up goes.
How much quicker do you want the process to be? They are already one of, if not the, fastest in the industry. If you apply direct, they will strive to complete your switch in 5 working days, as many have recently alluded to.
(Most suppliers still take 17-21 days to complete a switch)
Or are you perhaps claiming to be a victim of an errroneous transfer from Neon Reef? In which case, you will need to follow that process.

elucidate said:I've also just signed to Neon Reef from Symbio. Nothing to lose really.
At the end of the signup process it says the whole switching process takes 6 days start to finish - and that I still get a 14 day cooling off period!
The welcome email says I'll be on supply with them in 8 days' time. Crazy stuff.
I wonder if the switch would have completed by the time E.on ask for Direct Debit... Could I just tell them to deduct the money from my Symbio credit?0 -

Ex-Avro, en route to Octopus, I put in a switch request to Neon Reef on Monday for leccy supply. Yesterday, logged on to my new NR account to submit my meter readings and got the same email as below this morning, with new supply supposedly starting on Sunday, and invoice due on Tuesday. Let's see how it all works out - especially with credit still held at Avro.
