@Deleted_User -yup; nothing that hasn't already been communicated by BG. The only good thing about the situation is that the NR website has stayed operational - one of my previous supplier failures (Usio) everything vanished

Yep got the email, but they are still asking for meter readings as at 21st Nov contrary to the usual advice to give your opening reading to the SOLR only to avoid confusing matters.

Anyone else just received another 'helpful' email from our buddy, Neon Reef, about the Final Account process etc?
Yes, and a week later, Ofgem have managed to update their "who's looking after your energy" page":
    https://www.ofgem.gov.uk/publications/check-whos-taken-over-your-energy-supply
  • When I was thinking about changing to them a little while ago I noticed they did a hard credit search.  I'm hoping this does not apply in these circumstances and carry out another one.

Just checked and see my electricity still shows as Neon Reef as the provider.
  • On the introductory Welcome missive we received from BG on Monday, it mentioned that it would issue an update on Thursday. Any sign?

I've received a 4th email from BG announcing that my supply start date is now 6th Dec - no request for meter reads.- previously it was the 3rd.
It's getting very confusing with NR also sending out emails and asking for a meter read for the 21st November after I had already updated on 22nd!
No update on my account other than the later date , still asking for me to ring them -I don't think so on an 0333 number which, despite their claims , isn't free from all landlines !!!
  • These dates seem to be a moveable feast. I seem to recall NR going bust on the 16th Nov. Do we get charged for the dead time in between NR and BG at NR rates then?

In theory ,both BG and NR should use the same date and start read - however , on 2 of my previous SOLR processes, I've had issues with overlapping dates and readings which have been quite difficult to resolve!!

Ofgem stated that BG took responsibility for the supply from 21st November, so that is the first day on your BG tariff, everything prior to that will be charged as per your Neon Reef tariff.
