Neon Reef - any views?

That will be the case. Mine also showed a credit on the day of DD, and then a reversal the next day with no extra charge.Inigo_Montoya said:interestingly my "invoices" page on my neon reef account is showing the direct debit due today as having been credited despite me cancelling the DD a couple of days ago & no charge having been made to my current account
I guess this will be reversed - just hope they do not apply a charge for doing that
Before they went bust they would usually take at least a week to add the DD taken from my bank1 -
I have this error for two months now, since BG took over PfP customers. Logged a ticket for it and it's not sorted.brewerdave said:
Setting up a p/word didn't work - got the "Something went wrong - having tech. problems ,try again later" message - must be a lot of people trying to set up accounts this morning!brewerdave said:Deleted_User said:@brewerdave You don’t necessarily have to reset. Thanks for that ;I'll give it a go. Might have been a bit more "user friendly" if they had reworded the email tho'.Deleted_User said:@brewerdave You don’t necessarily have to reset. It's a reasonable price from British Gas considering what else is available and if it stays the same April-June that might be useful.0

As part of the SoLR process, I've now received my contract from BG (they are working a lot faster than EDF did when they took over from Green Network Energy) and note that there is no mention of economy 7 in the tariff. Just wondering whether anyone else who had economy 7 with Neon Reef has also found it omitted from their BG tariff (or is it just me?).

Received the BG contract email. Noticed that I'm on a single tarrif rather than economy 7 dual tarrif, which is available on the welcome to bg tarrif.
Called up the NR dedicated BG line to correct this before we get mired in backdating etc.
50 minutes on hold later sent from reception to meters to credit control. Can't do anything until the magic December 2nd.
Any advice?0 -
Because your knowingly trying to sign up to a tarrif that your not entitled to it’s for military personal same if you tried to use a nhs discount it accepted it at checkout then they found the name didn’t match to the nhs discount card you used?thozza said:
Can't see the risk, they put you on the SVR to set you up with an account, then backdate you to the start on the zero fixed October 2022 tariff, if you keep the chat transcript as proof of the deal then I can't see why they wouldn't honour the agreement?lisyloo said:
Thank you so muchelucidate said:The way British Gas are talking, I very much doubt you need to actually chat to anyone before taking the plunge. Nonetheless, it's good to have some kind of written proof.
1. To chat, go to the "Help & Support" section of their website, and click on the "Chat" button on the bottom-right.
2. Say "Joining" when the bot asks what you need help with.
3. When asked if you are the account holder, say "No". You will then be put through to a human.
4. Tell them what you want. At this point, most of us are being told you will have to sign up to whatever tariff you can find on the BG website, then ask them to switch you over to the Zero Fixed Oct 22 tariff once you are on supply.
5. Use this link to sign up if you want to avoid being re-directed to the British Gas Evolve website: https://www.britishgas.co.uk/GetAQuote/new/quote-details?cid=bgEvolve_redirectBAU
Isn’t this a risk - that it’s not available when you want to switch and you’re then on something more expensive?
apologies if I’m miss8ng something - I may well be3 -
This. All that will happen is once you are transferred to BG, and say I want contract x, they will say ok the terms and conditions are…are you military personnel for example, if not then tough, an email from a sales person, sorry customer service person is not a binding contract. You weren’t offered anything, you just tried it on, so there’s no misselling etcworrywart_3 said:

I was on Eco 7 with PfP, switched to Neon Reef after PfP died. Neon Reef said that they can't see Eco 7 at my property. BG sent me single tariff too, probably because that's what they received from Neon Reef. I don't think, I have enough time to waste, to straighten it up with BG.Dephead2004 said:Received the BG contract email. Annoying isn't it? I was on eco7 tarrif with NR but they also thought I had a single tarrif meter. Not willing to give up the cheap rates on eco7 herePenelopa.Pitstop said:

I'm in the same position.OldScientist said:Just wondering whether anyone else who had economy 7 with Neon Reef has also found it omitted from their BG tariff (or is it just me?).
I contacted BG via the Chat facility and was advised that, once my account is transferred to BG on 3/12, BG will have access to my meter details and will be able to update the account to Economy 7.
