Inigo_Montoya said:now to decide whether to cancel the DD or not - the DD have a habit of being very late in being credited & i am worried they may go missing completely now they've gone bust

A very sad day for most of us including the Sharks they were supporting. However the situation with me is I have never paid them anything since I joined on Oct 11 2021. I then decided to cancel under the cooling off period by which time they had taken my first payment. I managed to get that back. Now they were unable to put me back to Symbio because they were now insolvent. So I said never mind I will stay with them.
Moving on they said they will be collecting the dd on the 12 December. However today advised me they wanted to claim again the first dd that was cancelled by me in a few days time. Now what do I do cancel the dd completely now or just let carrying on taken payments. The dd was set for £82.89 and the amount to date I owe is £65.00.0 -
Should I cancel my dd? I have enough credit to cover the last month. Still worried but I have calmed down a bit now, guess in the end I can cut back elsewhere if I really have to but doubt it'll come to that. Plus we can try to get the new company to spread it a bit rather than charge me what I am using in winter.
I just pray it isn't SP or Eon.
I am not worried about credit, that I can manage. But my bills would be about £120-130/month in winter due to my higher needs.0 -

Just hope Zog keep going through this winter 🙏🤞.3

Well, this is how it ends. Not with a bang but a whimper.
I had 6/7months of a 12 month fix with them a low rate - leaving me about £50 in credit.
at least the transfer will be relatively orderly and NR seem to be co-operating with it for continuity.
we are not alone in being moved to higher tariffs -
I'm also with Zog for gas - 7 months into 2 year fix - fingers crossed!
I assume no more debits will be taken? - my next bill would have been due the end of this month?

Just posting a link to the capped rate calculator that Jim James kindly put up a while ago as I thought it might be helpful for some ex Neon Reefers to get an idea of what it might roughly now cost them under the SOLR,whoever that might turn out to be, at capped rate (and saves ploughing through the forum to find it again)

Ah well, the writing was on the wall. Moved from the now deceased Green energy a month ago, think I’ll stick to the big 6.Cancelling my direct debit, can’t risk them taking more money out0

The Big-6 don't exist, as such, any more.

Neon still owe me about £5 from when I left them in July so no surprise to me that they have gone. Just recently offered to pay me £30 compo too.Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow. The important thing is not to stop questioning. Albert Einstein0
