Notice in? Furlough or garden leave?

Still waiting on news I presume another roll, furlough again or garden leave. But work have removed me from all systems.0

What type of news do you hope to receive? Especially over the weekend?
It's fairly simple - you get paid whatever is due for the notice period and don't need to work for the company in the mean-time. Does it matter whether they call it "furlough", "garden leave" or "extracting the Michael"?
I should imagine the company are well-shot of you and hope you take more positivity to the new company.2 -
You dont know what's gone on I live month to month and have simply asked what to expect sorry if its angered people0

You’re right, people don’t know what’s gone on because over the past few months you’ve started countless threads asking the same questions about furlough, although the free ride on furlough didn’t last as long as you expected it to.col81 said:I wonder what they will do then if people cannot return and they have had the full allowance. I think it will carry on for 12 months the rate it is going atDuring that time you’ve changed your story constantly, looking forward to going back then your first reason why you couldn’t go back to work was childcare, then several months later you changed the reason to asthma in your father. But all along you kept saying how keen you were to get back to the job.col81 said:I doubt it. I am in sales and nothing is happening at all and we work in a overcrowded office. More than happy to return I'm more worried about money so happy to go in. I suspect it may be working from homeYou had a meeting with the company but think it’s best to ask random people on the internet a question about your specific contract than the company. I think that’s why people are getting exasperated by you drip feeding half a story, changing your thinking constantly as well as your sense of self entitlement.3

I've never known someone leave their job without asking "what happens next" or "will i get my pay confirmed in a letter confirming termination of employment" etc
What a strange situtaion. You say you live month to month. So how did you budget for the gap in employment if you dont know what you will be paid (basic salary potentially but definitely no commission)
Also what day does your new job pay? As if mid month you may miss the cut off for August pay run, assuming you start early August which could mean waiting 6 weeks to be paid.
I'm sure you have all that planned but thought I'd just point it out just in case.0 -
I have handed on the 4 weeks notice. I have 2 weeks holidays left so they are saying they may force me to use them. I am going to resign and then get holiday pay and start new job0

If you have already handed in your notice, you have resigned.
If you keep changing the tense of your statements, its not surprising people cant keep up0 -

I presume they owe me 1 months pay plus holidays?
Yes, I suspect it is highly likely the company will make you take the two week's holiday within the notice period.
Do you start your new job 1st August?0 -

Yes they can make you do that.

So they came back to me and said I'm still employed but I'm not on gardening leave etc. And they can ask me to use my holidays. What is stopping me starting my new job on monday and not telling my old company? That way I will get paid until end of july off both?? Or am I missing something0
