Hi and thanks for the welcome,
aren't holidays “time off” Brambling?!,How often do we log our loss and do we all do it on the same day of the week?

Artytarty - I'm basically doing the same thing. Fruit for breakfast (which I din't normally eat at all, both breakfast and fruit). salad for lunch (just replacing the dressing with a low calorie version) and a normal dinner. Other than that just cutting out the snacking on biscuits, chocolate, crisps and cheese (my big downfall). I think it is probably resisting the snacks that is having the best effect. I'm aiming to loose slowly but surely. Trying to increase my walking which is really the only exercise I can do. Good luck. I'll be following to see how you get on.

Artytarty, We chose our own Weighing In day and WI once a week. Monday is a good day to avoid due to any indulgence that may happen over the weekend. I have degrees in Low Cunning, so WI on a Saturday, so have a couple of days to rest on my laurels or look out my hair shirt and the rest of the week to be careful or to be very, very careful.
Oh, for goodness sake keep MingVase off this thread Gbee. What with her refusal to eat anything green and her habit of passing out if Kale is mentioned, added to her passion for jellybabies, not to even conjectecture about the contents of her freezer, we would be in the middle of a revolution before you could say 'cottage cheese.'I believe that friends are quiet angels

Hello x
Goodness Ive missed an awful lot - I like to eat a little Elephant too at times - just one mouthful at a time - goes well with my meds!!!
Brambling - Have a lovely holiday and I second our thanks for keeping us in line xx
Well done on the losses and STS xx
Ive lost too but not officially as waiting for next challenge. Ive had a particularly busy time with Bonnie and we are getting her into a routine now so feeling less stressed. Mind you Molly still has her nose out of joint - honestly its like having babies again!! Im up at the moment whilst Molly wanders around the garden and she has taken to sleeping in Bonnies day bed - having ignored it for years!!!!
Hope you have a good day xx
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.7 -
Well done to the losers and STS people; comiserations to the gainers.Somehow, despite a calorie disaster last Monday and a slightly less serious one on Wednesday with a colleague's leaving do, I managed to lose 1.4 kilos or 3 lbs!!! This means I'm 700 grams lighter than at the end of my cold, with 2.3 kilos to go until I reach my cap weight.5

Good morning everyone
I have been eating far too much this week and have put on a 1lb but I think I have got it out of my system for a while. I am ready to resume eating healthily and I am looking forward to having fruit and veg again.
My food today will be :
b - porridge and a banana
l - chicken and leek soup
d - thai green curry and cauliflower rice with beansprouts and broccoli
s - apple
Yesterday I ate:
b - fried spam, fried eggs, a tin of baked beans and 4 slices of toast and flora
l - 2 lots of tuna and cheese toasted sandwiches
d - roast lamb dinner
s - a packet of chocolate biscuits, a tub of ben and jerry's, a huge bag of nacho cheese tortilla chips, more biscuits, a couple of satsumas, a bag of crisps and a couple of pints of strawberry milk.
When food goes bad it goes really bad, however, today is a new day and I am feeling much more positive. I am going to use my Nutracheck account to keep tabs on my calories and my aim is to lose that extra pound with a couple of its friends too this week. My CPN is ringing me in a few days and I would like to have something positive to say to him as he always asks about my weight.
Hope you have a brilliant holiday Brambling and we will 'see' you when you get back. Take care everyone and try and have a good day xx
